I disagree entirely. The center position is nearly extinct. There are maybe 3 traditional big name centers left. (O'Neal, Yao, and Illgauskas) Miller is not a traditional center. He camps out on the perimeter and doesn't really have an inside game. He's nothing like Olajuwon, Jabbar, Ewing, Chamberlain, Russell, etc.. namely traditional centers.
As a result, you have to broaden your definition of a center. Amare is a center because he guards them. He's smaller and quicker but the power forward on that team is shawn marion. Same with Dwight Howard. Yea they're not 7 feet tall but they functionally play the same position as Miller and in a game they're guarding Miller or Yao or O'Neal. Duncan is a power forward because Nesterovic or Mohammed or Robinson played the center spot.
So my order is.. 1. Yao 2. O'Neal 3. Howard (Amare would be up here but microfracture surgery is the tommy john surgery of basketball, you'll never be 100% again -- see Chris Webber)
Miller doesn't play defense and is an average rebounder at this point. He had a career high in 3 point shooting last year but I figure it will go down again. He's always been around 31%. His passing ability is what seperates him but as a center he doesn't compare to the others.
