At this point, thinking people are going to be watching the Kings game when this matchup is on is ... well ... naive?

For that reason, and because I honestly think this could be the singularly most watched game all year, I'm starting a thread for discussion...

Good luck, Coach Adelman!! Let those Rockets soar!!!

Oh imma be switchin it back and forth and back and forth...

Cant wait, tonights gonna be a good basketball night.

Or "I've been in the league since 1984..."

;)

The little scuffle between Alston and Rondo HAS to be a record for the earliest technical fouls ever assessed in a game.

So it'll be real interesting to see how Houston handles its first lost in a looooooong time. Will they bounce back or go into a funk?

If TMac continues to play like a 10ppg scorer, it will be the funk.

This is one of things that has always dogged him -- he was irresponsible yesterday. "Unselfish" is not what you want out of a legit superstar when the going gets tough. Kobe is a selfish pain in the ***, but you never have to worry about him not showing up for a big game and just meekly passing the ball because he doesn't want the responsbility (unless of course he is betraying his teammates entirely to make a point of course).

TMac has just never had that high level champion type personality. Not only does he not really want it, he is far too eager to pass that resposnsibilty off on others. A great talent, matured greatly, and possibly even a much more livable teammate than the me me me stars. But when the going gets tough you don't want your best player passing the ball to you and saying, here you take care of it.

I thought nearly the same thing today when I read the recap of HOU vs NOH. T-Mac 15 points? I don't care how many scrubs Kobe is playing with, he's not going to score only 15 points...

You beat me to it. I really think this was the only playoff type game of the streak. And T-Mac choked proper like. That is exactly what I expect him to do in the playoffs, anyone want to bet the Rockets will make it out of the first round? I really feel sorry for Adelman, who will have a second team that will be too soft to take his guidance and go all the way with it. Noone wanted assists or even rebounds from T-Mac when Yao is not around. Hello-o-o-o?

Er...the Lakers game and Hornets games have all been playoff type games. Lots of intensity, stars trying to shoot you down etc. Do not think the Rockets can win a series in the West this season without Yao wiht or wihtout McGrady "on". But wihtout him, they will struggle mightily down the stretch. Just can't ahve consecutive 11pt, 8pt, 15pt games from your only remaining offensive weapon.

rockets remembered that they are the rockets.

trivia: who has the second longest winning streak this season? the portland trailblazers who are ranked 10th in the western conference.

bostons sweep through texas

I didn't know that the celtics became the 1st team to sweep through the texas triangle since the 2002 kings. That makes me feel pretty darn good!
