Boogie Shares Love For Sacramento

the loyalty that demarcus has is on a whole different level. its really something truly beautiful. A lesser player would have checked out a long long time ago, you know like when he was being made a scapegoat for Westphals departure or the numerous other times his name comes up with all the disfunction associated with our franchise. He really wants to win and really wants to win here. Its something really special in him and something that seems to be dead around the league.

Its our duty as a franchise to put him in a winning position and its actually the quickest way to winning too. Im all in with Demarcus, he is the best big man in this league, a future NBA champion and a future HOFer.

Long may he be ours. People can say whatever they want about him but he is one of the best things to ever happen to this franchise and his engagement with the Sacramento community is beyond commendable.

I hope one day i cross paths in person with Demarcus Boogie Cousins just so i can tell him how grateful we are that he views this place as home and wants his name and legacy to be tied to his time here which in his mind is still long term. I really sit here and wonder about how he can still hold that mentality but he does and long may it continue.

That is nice to see. I have noticed something different about Cousins this year. It apears as if he is disengaged from some of the drama this year. It could be a sign of maturity. I hope so. My question is why the teams performance apeared to drop off suddenly after the all stars where selected?

My favorite quality.
Shows a lot of character to want to carry the underdog city like ours. Now let's buy in and change the out come of this seasons big guy. You have the ability to do it, there's no doubt in my mind.
 
How many top ten talents would have this kind of loyalty to sacramento?

This is exactly what marc spears said earlier this week. This franchise needs to find a way to make this work because we will probably never find another talent like cousins who actually wants to be here.

Im betting more than one player is asking cousins why the hell he'd want to stay here in sacramento.
 
Glad that Boog loves Sactown but actions speak louder than words. Who wouldn't like a place that has tolerated his BS and rolled out the red carpet repeatedly to keep him happy. I still believe we can build around him tho. Just another myopic Kings fan....

It's the other way around.

He's tolerated our BS, and the organization's BS. And has become a perennial all star despite it.

It's really quite amazing that he's risen above this franchise. He's 1 of 4 draft picks in 31 years that made an all star team, the others being Peja, IT, and Gerald Wallace. The only 4 draft picks in 31 seasons to make all star teams. We gave up 2 of them for nothing #Kangz. Wallace in the expansion draft, IT for a worthless trade exemption.

Again, I'm not some DMC honk. Cousins has a lot to be called out for. A lot. Im just not one to think you trade away a guy like him when what surrounds him is considered to be THE MOST toxic situation in the NBA. Hell, i follow lots of sports. IMO, The kings are right up there with some of the worst run franchises in all of sports right now. I dare anyone to find me another sports franchise that has screwed themselves over more than the Sacramento Kings over the past decade.

Showing that kinda loyalty to this dipschnit, horribly run franchise begs a psychological evaluation!

But don't tell Cuz that. ..... he might get the help he needs and leave us!

Chicago Cubs, Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns are the teams that come to mind besides the Kings.
