Yes yes, back on point:

NZ game: Boogie didn't hurt the team, but got little accomplished. Balls just weren't coming/bouncing his way. Rudy had one about 2 minute burst, other than that, also a nonfactor. Game was almost entirely about the starters.

Drummond/Plumlee were both given a stint (Plumlee two) that had me a little worried Bogie's relatively nothing stint had endangered his status. But neither guy got anything accomplished, and it might have been as much about trying to get guys minutes, especially in a 3 games in 3 days stretch, as anything (of course the 3 games in 3 days arguments falls down a little because if you would be trying to save anybody during that it would be the starters, not Boogie as a backup).

I wouldn't worry about that: Davis/Fareid/Cousins appears to be pretty firm as the three-man big rotation for Krzyzewski. When we play Spain, Brazil, France or Greece, I wouldn't expect Plumlee or Drummond to play at all outside of garbage time, unless one or more of the front three are in foul trouble. No need to over-extend those guys in the last three games of pool play.

Faried has just worked harder than everyone. I wish Cousins had the motor he has. The guy would be unstoppable.

I'm curious to see what happens when we play Spain. Faried will no longer look like FIBA Faried. At that point they're going to need more Cousins. I'm curious to see if Coach K sticks with what he's been doing or changes it up. Faried is going to go from looking like a beast against the rest of the competition to looking like an annoying gnat against the Gasol's.

If Faried guards Gasol for long period of time the spain crowd will be dancing in the stadium all night.

And people that say stuff like AD is more athletic than KG was never saw KG play in Minnesota period.

Francisco Garcia just turned his ankle in the fourth quarter, versus Finland. We play Dominican Republic tomorrow... I mean, they weren't going to win, anyway, but if Garcia can't go, it's subject to be a bloodbath.

EDIT - FIBA must have access to those "magic" water bottles they used during the World Cup, because it looks like Garcia's going to try to play on it.

If past experience tells us anything, it's that Francisco is always "going to try to play on it." We'll see tomorrow if that actually happens.

Faried is about 6' 7" and weighs in at 225 lbs. The Gasol's will push him around and shoot over him. This is why Cousins and Drummond are on the team.

I don't watch much international ball it just doesn't click with me. But caught some of the game yesterday.

I just feel bad for cuz out there my, ill informed opinion, is that these games are all about drive and kick and jump shots the big men just stand about doing nothing.

9 and 4 in 6 minutes. And yeah, his size was flat too much them, although that dude with the stupid top knot hit too long jumpers on him the other way.

Cuz had 9 pts in 6 mins. Gay had 9 pts in 9 mins. Our big guys (Gay, Cuz, Davis, and Fareid) look great. Gay is the oldest guy which I presume people knew and he is leading by example with a lot of hustle.

I am implying that the outside shooters shouldn't be selfish.

FIBA scorekeeper is pencil-whipping Cousins on the glass. I know that FIBA uses different rules for assists, but do they use different rules for rebounds, too?

It's not a matter of making them play with our rules. I understand there are many different rules we need to adapt to, but that one is just ridiculous. It ruins the game when you can just foul any guy on the court and stop a break
