After Cp3 tried to fight Andrew Bogut after a game, this was in response to CP3 calling out DMC cause he refused to let IT shake hands.
 
:DIf you wish to see Cousins in the allstar game it would behoove you to vote for Cousins and and two other scrubs to fill out the front court. This takes votes away from players who get lots of votes. For example, I voted for Cousins, Wilson Chandler and Derrick Williams as my front court of choice for the west :D

Actually have to again say the best tactic is to vote Cousins and Love. Because Love will be an All Star, so its better to have him just get voted in than to have Griffin voted in who Cousins has a better argument against. Or even worse, Duncan, which blows the whole thing up.

Fans only vote the 5 starters. An no, we're not going to be able to vote Cuz in that way. But pushing him up the charts does make a subtle argument that this is not a guy you should dismiss/ignore, that he has support and has been noticed.

Should Cousins be in the All-Star game? Hell yeah! His personality is also way better than Dirk, Love and Duncan

However, Nowitzki and Duncan are absolute legends. There is no way he will get a pick over those two.

Love and Aldridge are MVP status.
Howards is an icon and celebrity as is Griffin.

It doesn't look good for Cousins. He always has next year though :)
 
Yeah, vote for Love. One way or another, he will get on the team. Griffin, maybe not, if he doesn't start. Never know.

And honestly if he doesn't make it this year, how is he going to make it next year? Probably won't unless a PF/C goes to the East or Duncan/Dirk retire.

Legend picks don't really happen as much as people seem to think they do. Considering Demarcus is producing at a rate that is pretty much third best in the league among big men. (Kevin Love and Lamarcus Aldridge are both posting excellent years)

Of the two players you indicated, I can see Dirk getting in as his team is winning and he is posting solid scoring numbers (he's still got absolutely dreadful rebounding numbers for a guy his size, which has always been the case) but there is pretty much no way that Duncan gets in barring the entire voting contingent accidentally going one name further down on their ballots and selecting him instead of Demarcus. (14 and 9 in 30 minutes is JT on a good year level production, not all-star production)
 
I honestly reckon he has a better chance making All NBA 3rd team than All Star which is a more impressive feat anyway.

what he does on defence is equivalent to what Cuz does on offence, what he does on offence is equivalent to what Cuz does on defence. there are more ridiculous comparisons.
 
There's a lack of big men league-wide: why do you think that they took the center position off the ballot?

Here's an outside-the-box thought: with Westbrook and Bryant both out until who-the-hell-knows, could that potentially open up a spot for Cousins? I mean, injury replacements are chosen by the Commissioner, not the fans or the coaches, and he's not obligated to replace an injured player with someone who plays the same position...

Well Bryant = maybe, because he'll be voted in. So that's a good point, although there are so many guards fighting to get in a guy like Lillard or Curry or somebody might be the add instead.

Westbrook though I don't think was going to be voted in, so he just won't even make the team in the first place.
 
What's crazy is when you look at the production of Cousins compared to Aldridge, who is being given fringe consideration as an MVP due to the Trailblazer's record.
Aldridge is getting about 5.5 more minutes per game and almost 4 more shots per game compared to Cousins.
And with that said, Aldridge is scoring less than a point more per game on a lower FG %, has slightly less blocks, about half less steals and FT attempts, and the one positive of half the TOs.

If we can manage to get an upgrade for a starting defensive PG and PF, get the defense sorted out, and see Gay solidify the #2 option, then this team is primed to start winning. And once it does Cousins should join the perennial all-star group year-in and year-out.
 
What's really crazy is how the entire crop of guys in the hunt have gone absolutely batcrap insane this month. Boogie has jumped his numbers up into HOF worthy territory, crunching people to the tune of 24pts 12reb 4ast a night. And he's barely gaining statistical ground because all the other bigs are pouring out huge lines every night too. And Kevin Love...Love has gone absolutely insane. I suggested voting for Love as a strategic maneuver, but check out these December stats:

29.5pts (.491) 13.9reb 4.2ast

That's a Shaq line (offensively). Insanity.

Aldridge really hasn't deviated much this season from his career numbers. The only difference is he's the best player on an elite team, so he's getting the media love that comes with that. If we were 19-9 instead of 9-19, I guarantee we'd see a hell of a lot more Boogie on the national stage

The biggest thing is that Aldridge is rebounding like he never has before. He's always been soft on the boards. Dirk lite. But this year he's up to 10.9rebs/game, which is a 3 a game better than his career 7.9reb mark. It really rounds out his big man resume.
 
You know... maybe (just maybe) some of those big men are realizing they'd better step up their games if they're going to keep up with the kid from Sacramento. ;)
 
Since the start of the 4in5 road trip Cousins is averaging:
25.6 ppg
12.6 rpg
4.0 apg

Last 3 games Cousins is averaging:
26.6 ppg
15 rpg
3 apg


Yea, i think thats all-star numbers ladies and gentlemen
 
Howard, Aldridge, Love, Griffin are locks, one of Duncan or Dirk could be thrown in by the coaches as a "legend having solid season". Unfortunately i think Cousins will be snubbed this year, unless we can somehow get within a few games of .500 at the all star break. Even Anthony Davis would probably be chosen ahead or would be on the same boat as Cousins, with his team being a little better than ours.

I think you're underestimating the power of Cuz's stat line this season.

I'm not, Howard will be voted in along with Griffin I would guess. Aldridge and Love are locks, Aldridge for the great stat line on the best team in the west, and Love for the ridiculous numbers on a .500 team. Dirk is averaging 22 on a playoff team and Duncan is always likely to get a legacy vote. Based on talent Cousins should be in, but the politics of his reputation mixed with playing on a poor team will probably leave DMC out( coaches alway like to honor players on good teams with "high character"). If somehow we approach .500 than Cousins would enter the Kevin Love territory though, where you would be forced to include him.

Note: only one player with Cousins' numbers has EVER missed an NBA All Star game, and that was Kareem in 1978 after he broke his hand in a fight and missed the first two months of the season. If Cousins gets snubbed, and it could happen, it will be flat historic at this point. If he continues his ascent he makes it virtually impossible actually. This is generally considered one of the weakest eras of big men, and Cousins is putting up historic numbers for a player his age. In 2010-11 Kevin Love made it on a 17 win team while averaging 20.1pts 15.2reb. In 2011-12 he was back, albeit at 26pts 13reb, on a 26-40 team. But I agree that barring injury SOMEBODY will get snubbed.
 
I have a feeling the coaches will vote him in. Hope so.

There's also always the possibility of one of those dudes getting hurt too and then he would get in, right?
