It will take a day or more. The leage has to give aproval then the players have to pass their physicals. Pedja's nagging injuries are obvious and RA is doing notheing for Indy so I dont see any hitch there. I suspect a quick deal as I am sure RA wants to get out on the court ASAP, but as with all things Artest you ALWAYS have to be preparied for a wild card. Who knows maybe Artest will refuse to report or send his Great Dane in for the physical.:p

Can I be the first to say please call Ron Artest by Ronnie, Ron Ron, Ron or Artest when referring to him. When you say RA on this board I think Rick Adelman, and since Rick was here first he gets to keep the RA designation hehe.

im ready to see a bibby/bonzi and artest 3-man lineup
*salivates*

if the kings can get a hold of a real big man who rebounds to play the PF, then we're talking. it'd be tough to bring SAR off the bench, but talk about one helluva 6th man!!!

Umm Bonzi will be back as soon as his groin feels like he can go at it again. A groin muscle is nothing to play around with. There is no fix besides time. You come back too soon and he'll reinjure it all over again.

this 3 gaurd lineup would be the most aggresive threat for the kings in a long time. if we can find a way to get our big men going we can turn this season around.

at 6'7", 260 lbs, artest is hardly a guard. i see where you're coming from, though. those 3 players together will hopefully be very aggressive. when bonzi comes back, look for kings coaches to reincorporate the tremendous amount of back cut plays into the offense. bonzi and artest can get to the basket with ease, and bibby is no slouch at getting to the basket, either, when he feels so inclined. with miller directing traffic, i like our chances. i'm not sure how SAR fits into the mix now. i would not be opposed to starting skinner at PF/C, and bringing SAR off the bench as a super 6th man. of course, this will not happen, but i really like this lineup:

starters

C/PF: brad miller
C/PF: brian skinner
SF: ron artest
SG: bonzi wells
PG: mike bibby

bench

SAR
martin
garcia
etc.

deadly...

The big loser in your scenario there is Thomas though. If that happened, he would probably demand a trade. He already isn't terribly happy not being a starter, but to lose even more minutes he would probably become a problem. Not that it would be a huge deal of course, but would just cause a distraction to the team.

It's too bad Artest won't be around for the Philly game. It'd have been nice for Webb to pull him aside and talk to him about any misgivings about going to Sac (I'm thinking more in terms of the city and Adelman and the Maloofs and not the team itself).

Thats actually a good point. Webber has the class to do that.- Im assuming you meant that webber would say he wasnt happy to go in but he was happy to be here, and that he should embrace his upcoming time here...if you didnt mean it like that then neglect this post.

I would love to see how bibby/Wells/ron/SAR/Miller play together. Now you have Miller/Bibby as shooter/director, Ron/SAR/Wells to attack/rebound in the paint. Should be fun.

I don't see how you draw this conclusion. KT just needs to make more of an impact in the minutes he gets, and he will stay on the court more.

Bonzi and Ronnie the Tru Warrior are very interchangeable at the 2-3.

Artest packed on a lot of muscle when he was out all of last year and over the off-season....so he can muscle up against small forwards....but still quick enough to defend guards.

Bonzi might be better suited to defend small forwards with his strength on the post...his feet are not as quick as Artest on the perimeter.

Offensiviely, I can envision Ronnie the Tru Warrier initiating the offense MUCH more than Peja did, allowing Bibby to roam free along the baseline. The Tru Warrior has way superior handles than Peja.

Our offense needs to be TOTALLY overhauled, given are new personnel, IMO.
