Memphis papers reporting its down to two main suitors -- the Kings, and the...dum-dum-dum! Bleeping Clippers again! That's highly annoying. Could go down in history as the Kings offseason the Clippers screwed up with their blundering.

Are some of those not last years salaries? I believe Bonzi if his option is picked up is due $8 million this coming year.

Side note: I like KingKong's idea.

Not sure that West would bite on my proposal though. Essentialy the Grizz get players above 32 yrs of age, as we get younger. However, they are in need of a more consistent PG, an if Bobby is healthy he will fill that need for them.

Exactly, the majority of GM's and basketball people would side with me. If you want to use every thread to make Bibby your new target of hatred, then I guess that too is yours to decide on. I find it sad.

I'm totally convinced that Donald is telling Baylor to go after everyone that GP goes after. There's no other explanation. As far as getting Jake Tsakaledes back...the only thing that Kings fans should remember him for is when Webber passed the ball around Jake's body in the low post in the '01 playoffs against the Suns. The look on Jake's face was priceless.

$11.5 mil is a million or two too high perhaps, but nothing that leaps out at you as worst contract in the world stuff. What happens when you start to get into the back half off a graduated contract. What was once $9 million and on target becomes $11million and too high.

All of which has very little to do with Bonzi Wells since the odds of Mike Bibby being included in such a deal are miniscule.

IF we are going to give up Bobby I would really like to include a re-signed Earl Watson in this deal. The guy is a really good defensive point guard and this is a sorely needed addition to the Kings team.

My only/main concern with that would just be that I think Earl wants to start, or at least not be pinned behind a nearly 20ppg 38-40min a night PG, and I don't think he has that magical ability to play as a 6'1" OG ala Bobby. So where do the minutes come from?

Bobby Jackson is a better player than Marko Jaric. Hands down in my eyes.

I'd disagree. Jackson doesn't really play within a system, and Jaric is younger so his valued more. Both players have injury problems, but Jackson's seem more serious.

Thats probably true, but I would love to see Bibby play less minutes(maybe 30 or so) all year and maybe have a little more in the tank come playoff time. I doubt however that Watson would be interested in doing that.

I'm not going to try and Predict what might happen (every time I do I feel silly at the actual outcome), But Bonzi might make things interesting for the Kings; a big physical athletic player for his position. haven't anyone like that in a Kings uni in a while.

How about Corliss, Bobby and O-tag for Wells and Wright?

It could be something like that. The odd thing is this -- Memphis is suposedly wanting to cut back on salaries. But if they really want to cut back on salaries, then they could just let Bonzi walk and Wright is an ending contract. So it doesn't seem ending contracts would be what they need, because they already have them. Then it raises the question of what do they really need? They have everything, and nothing. Lots of players of every type, but no great ones. What can we offer them but more of the same (assuming, as I do, that the core is not going to be involved in any deal for Bonzi wells)? Corliss Bobby and Tag are all old, is that what Memphis really wants?

Wish I knew what the Clips were offering. Or why they were offering it to get Bonzi onto a team that already has Cat and Maggette (of course this being the Clips, their next logical move will be their first).

Bonzi would give the Kings a little edge. But, he doesn't really solve the maor front line issue. Personally, I would rather see the team develop Martin, Garcia and Evans.

However, if the Grizz just let him walk and the Kings can sign him for 3 or 3.5 million I think it's something you have to look at.

The addition of a good permiter defender will improve the interior defense. Not as many people breaking down their man on the perimeter which in turn puts pressure on the interior and then forces rotations. Bonzi would help the Kingsin that respect and I like what he can bring to the table. I say get him if you can.

I predict that this potential Bonzi deal is not the real issue occupying Geoff Petrie. I predict that Petrie will trade one or more of the sacred core-trio.
