Bonzi to Denver?

With the trade deadline arriving Thursday, the latest Nuggets trade rumors include a deal sending point guard Earl Watson to Sacramento for shooting guard Bonzi Wells. A move sending Watson and guard Voshon Lenard, who wants to be traded, for Wells would work financially. Adding Wells, who is averaging 14.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.8 steals, could give Denver a much-needed, starting-caliber shooting guard who could get $8 million as a free agent this summer. Wells also has a good relationship with Nuggets assistant Tim Grgurich, who coached him at Portland.

Would not surprise me in the least if this deal happened. It addresses needs for both teams and with Martin's arrival I'm not so sure Bonzi would want to even re-up with us come this summer. A lot of Bonzi's past problems stem from his lack of playing time and with Martin I'm not so sure that we would even want to re-sign Bonzi this summer. So, get something for him while you can and avoid another Cat Mobley situation. When healthy, Leonard can be what Peja was for us as of late, which is a three-point specialist who sits in the corner waiting for the pass.

I think these "trade" posts are being moved over to the new "Trade Area" in the message board.

It's may be inconvenient to move over there to see them (at least for me it is because I'm lazy and I forget), but I guess that's the new trend to help keep the boards less-cluttered.

I'm only mentioning it because if an interesting debate starts out here - it could get lost in the move and merge.
