Bobby is Bobby - instant offense and solid defense. We can always use a little bit of that. The only question is whether he will be able to provide it and that is why we need to keep House on the playoffs roster still. Ideally, we should have both of them on the roster, which most likely means that Evans, Williamson or House will not be included.

Lets see, last year at this time Bobby predicts he will be back a half dozen times and we don't see him until October. Lets say in the next few weeks he is finally able to move his left wrist. Do you really think he's going to be in NBA shape at that point? It will take another 3-4 weeks for him to get into shape to play. I doubt Bobby is going to be on the playoff roster this year unless he comes back and plays well in the final week of the regular season. Pretty slim odds that will happen. Maybe if Brad weren't also on the bubble for his return they would consider holding a spot for Bobby. But the Kings cannot afford to waste 2 spots on guys slated to return "sometime" during the playoffs. House is a poor man's Bobby Jackson, but he is healthy and playing with the team now - Bobby isn't.

I know that Bobby believes he will be back and ready to go. It could happen, but I also want him to be helpful and not harmful to the team. Bobby is optimistic by nature. But, just believing he will be ready will not make it so. He has not played for a long time, and he has not played with the new guys at all.
I want him to be ready, of course. But, I want to win even more. It is not about an individual player, but about how each player can contribute to the TEAM!

considering how well eddie house is beginning to mesh with the team, i believe it would be more pertinent to simply leave bojax off the playoff roster, and let him heal up to 100% so he can be ready for next season. why disrupt the team chemistry further, ya know? that's not to say that bobby wouldnt fit in with this new-look team, but the playoffs are not the time to test these things. i just dont think it would be right or fair to leave off any of the guys who have seen floor-time in light of bobby's absence. the only player i would consider leaving off the roster would be o-tag....but that, imo, is something you dont do to a veteran player like o-tag who has brought nothing but good things to the kings locker room. thats just my opinion. if we decide to hold on to bobby in the offseason, then he can better serve the kings next season.

Until Bobby has actually stepped onto the court, I don't see how the Kings could arbitrarily assign him a playoff roster slot. We don't KNOW what Bobby will be able to do right now. Hopefully he'll be able to get in some actual scrimmage time real soon.
Luckily, we don't have to make the decision. The coaching staff and the trainers will decide if he's on the playoff roster - and I trust them to make the right decision.

I think Bobby would have to be a lot healthier than I've read he is to help us right now. Last I heard he had very limited movement in his wrist. Eddie is playing TOO well for a generic version of Bobby to deserve his minutes. I just hope he gets back to 100 % for next season!

I want him to come back but I don't think it'll work out well. I don't think he will be able to be a factor and he'll probably try to hard to prove to all those people who questioned his reasons for not playing last year. Plus, Rick has a tendency to leave in players who aren't playing well and then things fall apart...

Puting Bobby and Brad on the playoff roster is "free" -- only costs us two rooks who don't play much anyway, so clearly worth the risk. If we somehow survive Rnd 1 odds go up round by round that they can be a factor.
Does mean that you just have to keep House and Tag on the playoff roster as insurance, but as vets I assume that was probably the plan anyway.

So i say give the spot to someone who has a chance to contribute, But thats just my oppinion.

I just hate to see Martin left off when he's always ready to play, he has a good attitude, he's a good kid, etc.
