RealGM -
Andrew Perna of RealGM is reporting that ESPN's Andy Katz just received a phone call from an NBA executive, regarding a blockbuster deal. Katz repeatedly said the words "I won't say anything until later." The name Kevin Garnett was mentioned several times.

We're hoping to figure out the details before it's announced.

just read that on realgm... i really dont care at this point though...

Even though I usually put 100% stock in trade rumors originated by someone who heard one half of a phone call...... I'll believe it when I see it.

Man... WRONG FORUM!!!!

:D:D I am thinking KG was mentioned to the Kings because it was ni this forum lol.

Jim Gray just mentioned his sources are saying the Warriors are involved.

If it is this proposed Ray Allen to the Celts deal I am going to scream.

Last year Ainge rebuilt the Blazers and now he's going to do it to the Sonics???

the blockbuster trade looks like it's going to be Ray Allen to Boston

The Celtics are so stupid it breaks my heart as an Irishman to see the debacle out there. What a bunch of lunatics.

thats a pretty good trade for boston in my opinion and seattle is rebuilding.

How could it possibly be a good trade? Allen is 32. The Celts are not contenders. Two years down the line it will matter not at all. Panic move, and time for Ainge to join the great McHale scrapheap of failed ex-Celtic GMs.

By doing this trade they could contend in the future and now. They didn't trade Al Jefferson, they still have Greald Green, Rondo, Perkins, Allens and so on. With a Allen, Pirece and Al Jefferson i could see Boston as big players in the weak east. Consider the only thing they give up in Value was the 5th pick, wally was Over paid, West was not a starter, and Theore was going an expring contract. I really don't consider this a bad trade.

I think the key for Boston is getting some value out of Theo Ratliff's expiring. If they can get someone good with that they could make some noise. The championship is still coming out of the West until further notice, but they gave up relatively little for a really good player.

That NY deal makes no sense to me NY already has a big that can't play D and gets paid a whole alot of money in curry, why do they need another in Zach.

And why didn't portland trade Zach for a SF, it makes no sense to me.

Actually that trade makes no real sense to me for either team. Green is pretty much a poor man's Durant do it all type of guy. Leaves me scratching my head a little bit to be honest.
