Biggest Victory Of the Year? I think so....

No, he gave you reason to be doubtful. It wasn't a pull up jumper without thought. It was an open shot off a nice pass by Bibby. There was no reason for him NOT to take it. I cannot believe that people reacted that way.

:(

Yea, I felt bad afterwards for groaning a little, but it wasn't a conscious thing. It wasn't like I was hating on him! It was more like..."Ok, 1:30 left in the game, just milk as much off the clock as possible and...OMG, nooo, not a quick shot, what is he doing? Yeees!!! GreAt ShOT!!! I knew it all along!"

From  to  to :D

Please forgive me, CW!!!! U da man!!!

1) I think the Suns win was bigger -- might have saved the season as well as Adelman's job. That was a HUGE game for us at the time. This one is clearly #2 though, again after a down period reestablishing us as for real.

2) I groaned too when Webber took that shot. I had just got done saying "ok Webb, no more jumpers" a minuute or two before (at which point he promptly passed up a J and turned the ball over trying to hit Brad :p , and then Chris turns right around and shoots another one in an absolutely critical situation? EEK. Of course I groaned at my TV, and AFTER he took the shot rather than before he did so.

3) no way was this a "B" effort from us. It was a TREMENDOUS effort by us. Likely the best defensive/rebounding effort we've seen all year, and right at our season shooting numbers agaisnt a team which holds teams to much less. The ONLY significant flaw was turnovers.

Definitly was the biggest game of the year in my opinion. Everyone played defense, rebounded, and hustled tonight. This is a huge confidence booster for everyone on the Kings

1. I think that the only games that were "Huge" are the Suns game and the Spurs game(today).

2. I thought Chris Webber's shot was good but it was too quick. I thought the Kings would set their offense and waste time, but since he made, its all good! :D

3. We had great defense, a heck of a bench, but we had deadly TOs. It is a good thing that SA didnt capatilize on them!

The Power RAnkings come out tomorrow. Hopefully the Kings will get respect and get in the top 5. I think they should get 4th place. What do you guys think?

i agree. but even tho we beat SA, they'll still edge us out for 4th, i think. kings'll get fifth behind, phoenix, seattle, SA, and miami, not necessarily in that order. those are the top 5 nba teams by record thus far this season, so we'll see where the kings land.

The power rankings are still worthless media hype. Quite frankly, I hope Stein keeps the Kings down a little in the rankings. We've been at the top often enough before and all it gets us is more sniping from more sports "analysts"...

Paaaaa-tooey.

I think beating a team known for its tough defense outranks beating a team known for its scoring ability. Also, being there is priceless!

THIS is what i wanted.

dang you slim, you made me think. was this game bigger then the suns game??? at the time of the suns game, the kings were reeling, it was IN phoenix.

so i thought about it. i think this game was bigger. the spurs were considered one of, if not THE team to beat this year. no one ever thought that about the suns of being a title contender, i don't think many people think they are. they have been red hot, no doubt about it, but i don't think anyone respects them the way they respect the spurs.

to beat the best defensive team in the league when the kings have had so many question marks about effort, defense etc. it's very impressive. it's the biggest win of the season in my book. but it is only jan 2nd, so i'm hoping for many more of these.

WTG KINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was actually DC that tossed it behind himself to Webb. I groaned a bit while wearing a webb jersey(Shh dont tell anybody:p) I saw a wide open Peja in the corner. I guess Webb either didnt see him or was committed to the jumper. Thats why the crowd groaned.... I think

I am so sad... The biggest win of the year so far (or second biggest) and I was all ready to watch my recording of the replay (before I found out the score)... and then I press play and all I see is black. They picked now to start blacking out the game replays on DirectTV in Warriors territory?? Sonnuva pootey-boong-boong.

Glad they won, sounds like it would have been a great game to watch.
:( :)

(Woah new layout?) Anyways, it was a huge win, and a confidence booster. The Kings saw what happens when they play consistent defense. Now let's see if they keep it up.

Whoa, they blocked out the recording? Ouch. I might be able to grab some clips off my tape.

My fave play from this game was when Special K threw the behind the back pass between Brent Barry's legs! That was too awesome..

Luckily they don't blackout the post game show, so I can see highlights, post-game quotes, and a little discussion (thanks for the clip offer, but I'll be ok ;)). And yes, that pass was too awesome.
