Biggest Rivals!

What teams do you as a kings fan hate the most... Obviously its the LAkers, thats a given. But alot of people have told me Dallas as well. But I actually like Dallas alot. I love to watch Dirk. I dont like San Antonio... I think they are boring and win alot hahaha. So though we have never rivaled them, I don't like them for thier style of play (Though I understand it wins championships). I have never liked Memphis either... they are kind of like San Antonio. They just don't have that likable quality. And I guess the Jazz during our playoff fueds during the early webber era, I hated them then.

So tell me wat yall think? what teams do you not like:mad:

Lakers, Mavs(they're okay now I guess though), Utah(I HATE THESE GUYS!!!!!!!!!). I don't really like the twolves either.

Lakers.

There are some players that I dislike (FSM, Shaq), but the only *team* that I hate, have ever hated, will ever hate, are the GD Lakers.

I absolutely hate the friggin Mavs, those overrated s.o.b's.. cant stand em'. Behind the Lakers of course, I completely HATE Dallas.

I only HATE one team. It's in my blood; it's part of my genetic makeup. The others just don't affect me the same way.

I have a great disdain for the OWNER of the Dallas Mavericks but I actually used to like their style of play, and the way they'd always fold in the playoffs.

;)

Right back at cha.

<--- You guys will never get over this will ya?

Lakers. Only the Lakers. I'm a Celts fan too though so its a rather deep hatred.

Dallas I always thought was a friendly rivalry, especially since when it was really going on I had friends working in the organization and also because we got the uperhand 2 out of 3 years and still played strong the year Webber went down.

I don't like San Antonio, mainly because I'm still bitter that Timmy didn't land on the Celtics which was supposed to be a near certainty when he came out. Of course the Celts still suck and Timmy made them instant contenders again.

Most of the other teams I've usually rooted for at one point or another whether it was against the Lakers or the Bulls (in the case of Utah) so I cut them a little slack.

I also HATE the Knicks, but its more fun watching them flail these days.

Imagine yourself as a fan of a team that has yet to win a title. You reach the playoffs for the third year in a row, and are considered as one of the favorites to win it all. However, first you have to go through your loathed rivals, aka "the big bully of the league." The big bully has ousted your team from the playoffs for two consecutive years now. There is much animosity built up between the players and the fans of both teams. You are the underdog.... but widely considered to be the only team that can actually "beat" the big bully and stop them from getting a three peat. Your rival has two of the best players in the league and one of the most dominant ever. This doesn't faze you--you know your team is great and has the capability of beating anyone. Only one thing stands in your way now...

It's now the WCF, and your up 2-1 in a 7 game series against your hated rivals. You're on the road, with a great chance of getting a decisive 3-1 lead in the series. One step closer. You're up two points with two seconds remaining. The play is being well defended. The clutch star from the opposing team takes the shot-- misses-- everybody goes for the rebound--the ball bounces around for sometime-- until finally your center gets his hand on it tries to slap the ball out of play-- but the ball bounces right into the hands of the enemy -- The opposing player picks it up and nails the shot. You're rivals win the game and go further on to win another title.... a three peat.

Now aznlakers, do you feel like asking your question again?

beautifully said.... i may cry.

Lakers.

Wolves, Mavs, Jazz are all more "friendly" rivalries.

I actually enjoy the Jazz games, since we usually play well against them despite their "tough" play. Everyone then comes out of the woodwork saying "I didn't know the Kings could be physical". Whatever.

The Lakers are #1 for me especially since 2000. My wife hates the Mavs because of Cuban, thinks he is a total jerk.

As to a rival now, none really other than the Lakers. The warriors should be but keep fading even tho they have beaten the Kings, what 6 of the last 8 times? But can't be a rivalry cause when they play at Arco virtually no Warrior fans show up but when Kings play at Warriors, the stands are filled with kings fans.

Utah almost was and so too Dallas. But, sadly, other than the Lakers we don't really have any rivalerys going on.

dallas mavericks. there is no team in any sport that i hate as much as the mavericks. they suck. i dont care if they hit a 70 win season. they will always suck in my book. i dont care if they traded for mike bibby, they will always suck in my book. i don't care if they moved the team to el paso, texas, they will always suck in my book. i dont care if their entire roster was traded for the pistons roster, they will always suck in my book.

on top of that it was just so horrendous to hear maverick fans talk about how they were better than sacramento in the webber era. the lakers and kings had a real thing going. but with webber the mavericks couldnt even last past 5 games

Recently I've not been too fond of the Kings..especially living here, but I have a long-standing dislike of the Celtics and the Pistons. That's about it.

1. Lakers
2. Utah
After that its just semantics. These are the two teams we have the most history with, even if they don't have the same team makeups any more.

This may all be true, but the Kings could have easily won game 7 if they had only made their freethrows. Also, if Stojakovic and Christie didnt airball 3 pointers in the final minutes. The Kings had their chance.

aznlakers isnt it funny though that the same guy was burning your Lakers last night by draining all those 3's? Gotta give it to the man. Horry is clutch.

Lakers, and ... Lakers, and... did I mention the Lakers???

To me there is only one team that even qualifies. There are other teams I'm not fond of, but the Lakers are the only team that I would root against even if they were the worst team in the league.

I am very disappointed because - You didn't put lakers on that list;)

1. Lakers - no-brainer, although it's become a pretty pathetic rivalry
2. Dallas - one-sided these days...still hate Dirk...I'm OK with Nash on the Suns now, which surprised me.
3. Utah - leftover from the old days...too many PO series...

Thassabout it.

The Lakers (of course), are the only team I consistantly dislike. The others rotate in and out of favor.

Right now I don't care for the Clippers (down with L.A.:p ), the Jazz (well, Sloan's thug coaching tactics anyway), San Antonio (I am not a Popovich fan at all), Golden State (last year I liked them, this year, not so much; plus they always seem to get wins against the Kings late in the season:mad: ), and the T-Wolves... however, I am not sure who is on their roster other than Garnett anymore...
