Few of us think Bibby is "godly" and your use of those kind of phrases is, in a word, condescending. We aren't ardent Bibby supporters.
Some people are. You may not be, perhaps I wasn't referring to you or a blanket statement to "everyone".
What's interesting is that someone can be a complete and utter Bibby-homer to the extreme ... and not get called out for it. I mention Reef and say he should get more touches, and you'd think I pissed on your graves.
We're loyal, long-time Kings fans who are fully aware of his strengths and his weaknesses. We appreciate what he has brought to our team and we will continue to support him.
Just like I was the only one defending Peja through all this loyalty.
How about tossing Reef some "appreciation" once in a while. Instead, Reef has a good game and it's "he only got 7 rebounds. C+". Or Kenny Thomas has 10 decent games and he should be the starter. How about the thread where NO ONE mentioned heart when it came to Reef coming back with a broken jaw?
Is there a double standard?
Or does saying a player needs to "grow a pair of balls" constitute support and appreciation?
I've NEVER been so rude to Bibby. I also have NEVER come out in a thread and repeatedly made snide comments about one particular poster in a "hush hush" manner so that it can be construed as not about them.
We've been through a lot together, Bibby and the fans, and we (or at least I) do not appreciate the way you continually and unceasingly find a way to compliment him on one hand and then tear him to shreds on the other.
Mentioning facts and figures is "tearing him apart"? Please point to one area where I "tore him apart"? I was saying, and will say continually, what I would like to see from him. It's called constructive criticism.
Plus, on the flip side:
Reef and I have "been through a lot together" and I don't appreciate the way people have torn him down... especially when he is down.
Sorry, but that's my take.
That's my take, too.
I'm not trying to be offensive, crude or rude in any of my posts. It's frustrating to have people call me out or say I have an agenda because I don't hold the same popular opinion.
Perhaps I DO have an agenda and that agenda is to win! I see a way I think it can happen.
But, the flip side is: PERHAPS YOU HAVE AN AGENDA TOO!!
