Best dunk I've ever seen

Was performed by Andre Igoudala tonight. Oh yeah!!!

AI Senior bounces it off the back (as in rear) of the backboard and AI Junior comes running in from behind, catches the ball, ducks under the backboard and slams it down.

I hope someone posts a video frame of that for everyone who missed it.

Yes, I am biased. Iggy went to school with my nephew in Springfield, IL. He comes from a very nice family. AI Junior is phenominal. Go Iggy!!!!

(pasted from an earlier post in the all-star weekend thread)

ANDRE IGUODALA!

What a dunk...

Jesus, I (and I doubt anyone else) have never seen anything like that anywhere in my life :). Just keep on lovin' this guy...

WOW at NATE!

Nice surprise by using Spud to jump over!

Told ya about Nate's vertical leap :). Very impressive, indeed.

TIE!

Man, didn't I (seemed like one of the few) tell you guys this years contest would be good? :)

Can't believe that one guy who said these guys were scrubs or the field sucked or something like that.

I know that I am biased, but jumping over a short person is not near as impressive as what Iggy did off the back of the backboard. That was the best dunk of the night...and ever in my book.

Listen to the crowd...They are booing, because no way should Iggy's score be lower. That is effin bulldung. Let's give the award to the guy just because of theatrics, not because he did better dunks. BULL!!! After it was over the crowd was silent.

I will not watch this crap again!!

Difficult, but sweet dunk by Iggy!

Don't like how one of the judges took down the 10 after he had it fully up in the air, for Iggy's final dunk. Think it was Kenny Smith.

He had that advantage going in, along with his vertical leap. ;)

Regardless, I've loved both guys, and both really showed off tonight

Yes, they both showed off, and Iggy showed that he was the MUCH better dunker. Only problem is, he did not get the trophy for it.

It reminds me of Gerald Wallace when he got jobbed. And he has not been back since. Don't blame him. And, I won't blame Iggy if he never participates again. :(

Hey, he went wild in the Rookie/Soph game, and absolutely stole the show in the 2nd half. Winning the MVP. Of course, would of been good to get two trophies.

Again, Iguodala proved himself even more. :)

Iggy should have saved that amazing behind the hoop dunk until later.

He didn't need it later. Nate getting a 50 for jumping over Spud was all theatrics. That was not a 50 dunk, nor should his last dunk have gotten a 47 when he had 14 tries at it.

Regardless of whether he got the credit for winning the competition, that dunk by Iggy mentioned in the 1st post was the best and most creative dunk I have ever seen. I sure hope someone posts it.

Nate not deserving 50 for jumping over Webb? Anyone jumping over Webb at 5'7 deserves a 50.

Iquoldala did get robbed though. His behind the backboard and shave his eyebrow dunk is definately one of the top dunks of all time.

Oh irony, how sweet you are

Igoudala deserved it, IMO

he got robbed because of the judges changing their scores TWICE.

the first one Kenny Smith was about to give him a 9 but changed it to an 8 because i'm sure they wanted a tie. (and before everyone raised their scores, they were all looking at each other, probably asking each other if they want a tie or something.)

and then the next one, 1 judge changed the 10 to a 9. everyone saw it that's why everyone was kinda pissed about it.

that was a bad ending. why did they have to end it like that?

clearly, they all wanted nate to win. whatever.

Iggy's last dunk was almost the same the dunk he did to tie Robinson. It wasn't impressive like Nate's in the dunk off. It's a Dunk Off you have to bust out the BEST thing you got not something like that. Nate's Dunk Off dunk was impressive going between the legs twice before landing then throwing it off the backboard and dunking it.

I just hope they're both back next time. Both of them had AMAZING dunks and I think it was a great Dunk Contest one of the best recently because of Nate's off the back of the backboard and the Robinson over Spudd.

Damn, what a dunk contest! Instant classic. Nate/Iguodala (1?) is now significant in the history of dunking and the dunk contest. Told ya'll it'd be great.

I kinda expected Nate to get it by the latter rounds, because of his height and his athleticism (vertical leap, strength).

Really though, both Andre and Nate were tremendous tonight

That was a great dunk contest, but a HORRIBLE ENDING. NAte did some nice dunks at his size but WAY too many attempts.

Iggy should have won it easily. Judges were just AWFUL in this.

Great job by both guys...I also believe AI2 deserved it, but come on...a guy of Nate's height jumping over ANYTHING is hardly just theatrics. That's quite a feat. Give him SOME credit.

I actually enjoyed the competition. It's all showtime anyway, so I'm not at all disappointed in the decision. It's just funtime, folks.

I have to applaud Nate Robinson for even being able to compete, much like Spud Webb before him. The fact he DID miss so many times and was still able to jump at all speaks volumes to his stamina, determination, etc.

They gave the crowd a nice show. That's all this weekend is about. It actually got ME - the ultimate cynic as far as ASW goes - to stay tuned.
