Bee: He wasn't seen as a flight risk (MERGED)

Yea, I'm kind of over this stuff. Who cares? Let's move on to more important matters like personnel movement (and hopefully LOTS of it).

Anyone who has the absolute audacity;) to asks Sprewell to throw crisp passes in practices, or, heaven forbid, sits him down while he is laughing as his team is getting routed, gets major points in my book. Why, he might even demand that his players listen to him in the huddle. How shocking that would be. If Pop likes him, I like him.

If he's sch a great candidate, why do you suppose he hasn't gotten another head coaching job? Not being sarcastic, it makes me curious. There's been plenty of openings since he was last a head coach. I'm not sure I can remember him even being a top contender for a position, but my memory could be wrong.

Personally, he'd be pretty far down my list, tho.

he took advantage of us and all he wanted to come to sac for is because we have the best kinko's..

i don't know if anybody was listening, but Grant came onto the carmichael dave show yesterday and spoke about the SVG situation. And what he had to say was interesting and surprising. According to him, Stan never had any intentions of coaching the sacramento kings. he has always wanted to coach orlando for a plethura of reasons, and just did the evil but smart thing of getting the most out of them. Basically he wanted to scare the magic by using the Kings and end up squeezing as much $$ as he could. Napear wouldn't reveal his sources, but said he said he had inside sources with information that would sound "unbelievable" to us kings fans. screw SVG, the guy is a total opposite of what a class act should be, i understand it's a business and he wanted the most out of the Magic, but using the Kings, that's the maloofs who paid for a private jet to pick him up and bring him, and GP who put so much time and effort into choosing what he thought would be the right coach for this team.

I've merged your comments into the ongoing discussion about SVG not coming to the Kings. There's no need whatsoever for mone than one thread about this.

I think this takes things a step further than I thought it had gone -- there seems to have been a verbal agreement in place. That's pretty serious. If he wanted to come and explore the area to help make his decision he could have done so without leading the Kings to think there was going to be a press conference to announce him as head coach. That's just dirty pool.

I also don't think I've ever seen Petrie so forthcoming in an interview.

I don't know if I have agreed with so many things by one person more than you in the last week or so. It may have been like this in the past I am not sure. Anyway again yes I agree. Thats on the very edge with a verbal agreement. Kinda like he said "I don't care about the Orlando situation I am with you we will sign tomorrow after me and my wife enjoy the day." You are also correct about Petrie. All of a sudden speak in words that mean something and isn't just double talk making you scratch your head.
