Barnes cancels kings workout?

Showcase and just a fraction of what Robinson did?

Here is one and I think it is more than just a fraction of Robinson's display of skill:

High school workout tapes. Cool. If I was 6'10 270 with his athleticism, i'd be able to make guys 5-7 inches shorter who didn't have an ounce of my athleticism look like chumps too. Where's his college one where he's facing actual competition?

BTW, I absolutely despise highlight films to evaluate basketball talent. They're fun to watch for entertainment, but they really mean absolutely nothing in the context of player evaluation.

i dont know you, but i hate you just a little bit for this post. i didnt think about a raptors promise but this theory makes sense. so thank you throwing some more doubt into my hope for mkg being a king :p

I can always be counted on to dampen the mood. It's one of the few things I'm good at.:)

Personally, I think Barnes is still going top 4 (along with Beal). So to me, it's Robinson and MKG fighting to join the top tier. I don't think MKG is going to fall this far but you never know. When it comes to the Kings drafting MKG, you and I are on the same boat.

We can't trade next years first round pick (remember the Casspi-Hickson trade). Also, we don't need more prospect, we already have more than enough players. We need some trade to fix the roster.

What a horrible trade! How did we get robbed so badly? The pick is protected but keeps us from making any moves until the cavs get the pick. This could go on until 2017.

I don't think Lowry/Evans/T-WIll/JT/CUZ is small ball.

He's like a mega T-WIll minus the natural floor vision.

Where's your bench? Thats where the small ball comes in. Whose the first big off the bench? Hayes? I love T. Will, but once again you've got a guy 6'6" playing SF.

Even though I'd really like Beal, if we're looking at Robinson or MKG at 5, I'm totally happy with that. Just not Barnes, please just say no to Barnes, Petrie.

My list is:

1. MKG
2. Robinson
3. Barnes
4. Drummond
5. Beal

But I'm just going based on what I read about each player's strengths, size and potential, and how I feel it'd fit with our team. I'm not a follower of college ball so I won't pretend that my list is educated or worth anyone's time.

Thats a pretty good list Mac. My only change of course would be to move Drummond down to five. I'd have Beal ahead of him.

All of that was against Highschool players, that in most cases were 2 to 4 inches shorter than Drummond. Robinson was playing against the top college players. Some of the stuff you saw Drummond do in that video, he couldn't do at UCONN. Also, the video with Robinson wasn't a highlight video, where they only show the good stuff. It also pointed out his flaws. I would draft Robinson 10 out of 10 times over Drummond.

This is reminding me of the Cousins draft... where there was no way he'd be available at #5 when it all started and then the closer we got the better it looked. MKG here we come!!

Exactly at least hopefully. hope it works that way, it looks like barnes is going to the cavs
