Barkley and Leryritz drunken clowns to pay

Barkley's pearls of wisdom after it happened, "I screwed this up." Why he was out late drinking night before New Years eve, running a red light and drinking heavily to exceed several times Arizona state limit - who knows? The multi-millionaire could not find a $10/hr driver, a limo, even a police escort with his well known celebrity?? Now to jail for Sir Charles:

Leryritz' in a much worse predicament after alcohol detection device was installed in his car which he thought meant he could resume his drinking - that's what his lawyer claims!! All of it after he killed someone behind the wheel drunk as a skunk. Facing big time felony manslaughter charge:

Sorry, but this gets a major eye roll from me, at least where Barkley is concerned. To the best of my knowledge, Barkley has never been arrested for DUI; now, if you choose not to believe that he's sincere, that's your business, but I'll take him at his word, and think that he may have actually learned his lesson, and not do it again, so I will not throw him under the bus unless he he ever does it again.

The guy who killed somebody after already being busted for DUI, on the other hand, is another matter.

This is not a defense of Leyritz, but the story is unclear - if it was one of those devices that kills your ignition unless you blow under a certain amount, wouldn't you assume that you were ok to drive if your car started? I think the real issue is that the terms of his bail was that he was not to drink period. If that's the case and he's on trial for vehicular manslaughter he should be in jail while awaiting trial. I don't think there is any reason to be lenient once a person has (allegedly) killed someone.
