Babyface and Tracey Edmonds Announce Separation

The couple vows to continue their business relationship.

It’s the end of the road for Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and his wife, Tracey. The couple released a statement Wednesday afternoon announcing their permanent separation following 11 years of marriage.

“After being unofficially separated for quite some time, it is with deep regret that we announce our permanent separation,” read the statement, sent by publicist, Raymone Bain. “We remain best friends, and will continue to work together in our companies and our various business ventures.

The couple, who just marked their 11th anniversary last Sept. 5, said they will continue “to provide a loving, caring and stable environment” for their two sons, Brandon and Dylan Michael.

“It is for this reason, that we are requesting that you respect our privacy, and the privacy of our children,” the statement said. Photo Copyright Getty Images

I suppose it would be somewhat callous to say "Who?" and downright mean to say "Who cares?"

I'm sorry but after the tragic split of Jen and Brad, I just can't allow these celebrities to force their personal lives into my daily agenda. It's just too painful when they decide to end it...leaving me with this terrific void in my life.

I have no idea who either of these people are, but there sure have been a lot of celebrity divorces lately, whew. It makes me scared to ever get married. I mean, if these celebrity couples couldn't make it, then what chance do the rest of us have?

Also Eddie Murphy and his wife Nicole are divorcing and it's very messy from what I hear. They've also been married for many years.

His wife, Tracey Edmonds, was a movie producer.

From same site, her most acclaimed movie was "Soul Food." She also produced "Josie and the Pussycats," "Punks," "Light It Up," and "Hav Plenty."

After all the recent hoopla with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, etc. I realized the painful truth: my life had become way too segmented with trying to stay current on all the doing in the private public lifes of celebrities. So, after painful introspection, I've decided to limit myself to living vicariously ONLY though the Sacramento Kings. Those Hollywood and music types are just going to have to find someone else to keep track of their romances, trysts, infidelities, etc. I'm just one person; I can only do so much.

Agreed. I personally think that this child was conceived with one of Tom Cruise's high-ranking Scientology "leaders" or whatever they're called, that he consults with regularly. It was done to show that Tom Cruise is a normal, fully-functioning heterosexual male.
