That's a shame - like you say VF, a raffle would definitely draw from a huge fan base that is not in the same money bracket that they are targeting.

seriously, though, I can understand having limits on these items, but $1,000 minimum seems a little steep. Yeah, GP isn't going to spend an evening eating with someone just to donate $5 to charity, or to break even on the cost of the meal, but if you put a reasonable limit (I don't know, a couple hundred dollars or something) I think the bidding would end up pretty high after everything was said and done..... and they could have thrown in less extragent items like game tickets or something to give the rest of the fans a chance...

This is more than a little disappointing. There are way too many items that still have NO bids.

Of course, considering I haven't seen even ONE mention of the auctions then perhaps it was to be expected.
