[ATL/BOS] The rivalry continues...

And this was an absolutely classic young team vs. title contender Game 7. Boston stpped up and got serious and that was that. I would rather suggest they don't do the same thing next series, because the Cavs have themself a guy who just might beat you in that game 7 all by himself.

that is because You are way too subjective. I hope - You don't bet in real life.

Bibby isn't even a BB player anymore. Not even for the NBDL.
You lose this bet btw.

Subjectivity rant coming from Piksi...I have now read it all.

Hawks could play 100 times in Boston and they will lose 90 games by 20 and more and 10 games by 10 or more.

was at the game

Just got back from the game (went to game 5 as well). What can I say - Boston took care of business. Bibby got boo'ed like crazy - I had a bunch of guys behind me screaming Bibby sucks all game.

It is quite hard to gauge how good the celtics is. Their offense isn't all that smooth - not all the time anyways.

No more celtics playoff games for me until the finals though... no interest in the cavs nor pistons.

What else can You say about his performance over seven games. He had 2 maybe 3 good quarters over 28 total. He was supposed to provide some kind of the leadership especially on the road since he had some experience. Hawks got nothing out of him - absolutely nothing.

And that translates into there being at least eighty-eight professional point guards in North America (60 in the NBA + 28 in the D-League) better than him? Because that's what it would take for him to be less than D-league worthy.

I can appreciate hyperbole as much as the next cat, but come on, now...

Great series. I expected a sweep so who knows how Boston will fare down the road. Teams like Atlanta did give them trouble during the regular season, so maybe it was just a matter of matchups. In any event its a little too early to write off their chances but I'll be less shocked if they lose to Cleveland than I would have been a week ago.

Sometimes I feel like the warmups are really telling - like today Bibby was hitting nothing during warmups. This was true for most of the hawks (and in game 5 as well) - I don't know if it is the nerves in the boston garden or the way they practice (a lot of shots with defenders) that makes it that way. Celtics on the other hand barely missed in warmups in game 5, but did a little bit coming out today (and I'd say they were a little tentative in the first quarter, until they started to blow it open).

I wouldn't just write off Mike Bibby yet though - I think if he recovers from those injuries he has (however minor or major you feel they are) and gets his shot back - he is still one of the best PG shooters out there. But yes... a Mike Bibby that doesn't hit shots is not going to help his team much.

Mike Bibby hasn't hit his shots since Webber was traded

hm, funny because it seems to me that Bibby had his two highest scoring games ever (40 and 44) after Webber was traded. Oh, and coincidentally, both of those games were during his career high scoring season of 05-06 where he went for just over 21 ppg.

Seems hard to do that without hitting shots.

I'll grant you hes degraded considerably since then, but he has proven that Webber wasn't his umbilical chord.

Right,

Look at FG%. Everyone can be a volume shooter and given shots half of the league can average 21 pts. Fact is that Bibby was never a high FG% guy but since Webber left - hid FG% declined as the # of bad shots increased.

He averaged 21.1 shooting 43,2%. Awesome ! Just imagine how many bad shots that is and that from the PG

I didn't watch much of the game after the first half. Too boring and predictable.
