You're not trying to say you think you're the only one, are you?

A LOT of us around here have been fans since the team moved to Sacramento in 1985 and even more came on board shortly after that. We are truly fans OF THE TEAM. For us, even though we may have favorite players, it's the name on the front of the jersey that matters the most. The name on the back may change, but the name on the front doesn't.

Patience for what? To watch this current assemblage of players become more and more disgruntled? They do not fit. If you get a pair of shoes at the store and one of them is a size 8 and the other a size 9, you don't get mad at the shoes. You take them back and get two that match. That's where the Kings are right now. There are perfectly good players out there, they just don't fit together properly.

It's not about patience and hoping they'll change. It's about recognizing that the current roster isn't going to get the job done and finding a way to make changes to improve the situation. Life without change...is death.

You don't always make every gaming winning shot you take. Bibby is struggling with this reality and in this game he was taking too many shots. The other problem is instead of working with Webber, Christie, whoever in the past to initiate the play and then get a shot off of it, he's initiating and taking it. It's just not a lot of movement, which is why the hi-low to Bonzi on the block has looked so nice in contrast at the end of games. The other issue is that Peja and Brad are not clutch, aggressive guys.

Bonzi wasnt in the game. He hurt his groin in the first quarter. I would rather have Mike take a the clutch shot then to have Peja airball one 2 feet away from the rim. You have to think that Mike doesnt always call his own number. Adelman usually has mike inbound the ball so it usually is a play ran out of the huddle. If Bonzi was in the game I'm sure that the play would have been run a little more differently.

I am aware Bonzi was out tonight. I was speaking from the initial comment of "When is Bibby NOT going to take the last shot in every game?"

"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." - Michael Jordan

bibby taking the last shot (especially it being a 3) > miller>bonzi>reef>peja
peja and brad dont want the ball in the 4th, nor at the end of the game...bobby jackson would be a nice player to have to hit clutch shots too.

what has patience with the kings gotten you lately???? and i mean as lately as you can go........

I don't know is it me, or Mike Bibby has strictly became a jump shooter. I remember when Bibby first came here, he was a penetrator, and a shooter. Now, he is just one dimensional on offense, a jump shooter. He's even worse on defense. The guy doesn't even play any defense. It seems like he'll play defense when he wants to.

mike bibby only plays defense when team dime says it's time to play defense. it's kind of like rex-kwon-do

Yes, a Miller pass on a broken play in which Rick Adelman -- you know, the coach of the team -- wanted to try to get Mike the last shot.

There are enough legitimate deficiencies in Mike's game to get worked up about, I don't think that selfishness is a problem.

I am well aware that the play was called for Bibby. I made that comment to make it a point that Bibby IS selfish with the final shot, Brad is not.

VF21: No timeout was called because the Kings were down 3 pts. You call a timeout, inbound the ball and the other team WILL foul whoever gets the ball. You take two freethrows and lose the game.

At the end of regulation I don't really understand why they stand there, run the clock down, set a high pick and roll and Bibby heaves up a prayer. If Bibby takes that to the hole there is a good chance he gets fouled or at least finds someone for an easy bucket. We had almost the full shot clock and that's all we come up with????

Does everyone suddenly forget at the end of a game that it is RUNNING THE OFFENSE that put about 100 points up on the board, not one player dribbling at half court and then shooting a desperation jumper on every play.

Last night at the end of regulation and also the game against the Spurs I was pissed because I hate this play when there is time on the clock. Last night in OT he had no choice. But every close game he does the same thing, and it is very predictable. If it is RA or Bibby (either one, doesn't matter) making that call, he should change it up a bit. That's all I'm asking.

Wow. This is all going to get worse before it gets better, - in all areas-isn't it?

As far as I am concerned, considering the choices of all the players on the floor, Mike will be my choice 9 times out of 10 to take the last shot.

I do not perceive that Mike is playing worse in comparison to last year. He just has less talent around him. His passes, for the most part- ar just as good as previous seasons. The people he is passing to are missing many more shots. His play has not really regressed, his weaknesses are just more exposed. Of the three "core" players (leaving Bonzi out for the moment) who do you think the other teams focus on?

I really do not think that we need to focus our attentions on individuals for our losses. Its the TEAM. The TEAM needs help. Did we really expect much more out them? As far as I can see, they are playing with heart and determination again, they are just not able to get the job done the way it is configured.

Petrie has work to do to right this ship. I have said before that I am not a strong proponet of mid-season trades, but we MUST do it this year if we want to improve. There is no need for patience at this point. We have seen what this group can do. Now it is time for a change. I have no opinion of which players need to be traded. It no so much that they need to go as we need sombody to come in and help-- for the good of the TEAM.

I will only say this one time. We messed up last year with some trades. Its time to stop pretending otherwise and clean up the mess. They can do it. If they don't . . . I'll still be cheering for them.
