I like the logo. Personally I think Pelicans are awesome. They are amazing to watch in the wild. Certainly it is connected to the state and the ocean. Sure beats being called the symbol of Charlotte, NC (Hornets).

The logo isn't horrible, I suppose. Only of the speculative mock-ups floating around that I like any better are the ones I've attached, but they wouldn't have fit with the color scheme anyway.

But the name is stupid. Stuuuuuuupid. And pretty much everyone here hates it. Especially considering some of the really good ideas that were being thrown around down here that had much more to do with the city itself than with the state of Louisiana generally (and, really, not even New Orleans wants much to do with that). So, not atrocious, but.... yawn.
