Oh really. Markkanen kicking Murray after a shot, is confirmed to be a foul on Murray? Whoever is doing these reports is becoming just as big a joke as the officials themselves

Y'know, a lot of us get grumpy w/"late" whistles, especially against our team. But I've been thinking that it's the quick, reflexive whistle that really uses a problem. EVEN THOUGH THEY KNOW that lots of players flop, when they see a player fall after a putting up a contested shot the reflex is to call a foul. I think we should want them to take the extra split-second to process what they saw. Murray literally didn't touch Markkanen up top and the contact below was very much caused by his own VERY "unnatural" motion.
The frequency w/which these 200, 225, 250+ lb men hit the ground is a disgrace.

I mean, I don't really think we can say this being they HAVE admitted to screwing us over in a few games this year. On the Keegan foul, the question is, did he really hit him on the arm as reported in the L2M? If so, that would take precedence over the leg kick out. The inbounds play, maybe that's just how their rules are written - the trailing defender is responsible for contact.
From what I've seen from the L2M reports, they are about as pure as can be. They will list an incorrect no call on travels that no referee would ever call (and almost no fans would ever even pick up on).
I don’t think there was any contact on the arm or elbow, it’s why you saw KM react the way he did. I didn’t see it on replay. Was not there but that kick out sure was.

I would agree, with exception of this Jazz game. They manufactured 4 points in the last 2 minutes via officiating (Okpala "foul" on Clarkson).
I think the NBA drastically regrets having the L2M report and basically the only thing it does is make fans pissed about a crap ton of missed calls. I'd wager we aren't going to see many "mistakes" anymore

Kings are even getting hosed in the L2M reports now.
They don’t even acknowledge the blatant push off and arm extend by Murray. They just pretend they collided, in which case I would agree with a no call..but to not even acknowledge the push off? I would respect the conclusion that they thought Fox flopped before they describe a play that didn’t even happen.

Yeah, well, we already know that’s not accurate given the blatant push-off by Murray.
But what about Domas getting elbowed in the face? Did that not occur in the last 2?
I already deleted the game off my DVR so I can’t go back and confirm. I usually keep the games for a few days but was so pissed over this one I immediately deleted.
It's pretty hilarious. The league office really was faced with two options: take steps to prevent the refs from specifically hosing the Kings down the stretch, or allowing it to happen and pretending it wasn't. We now know what they have selected.
Domas also got smacked the last possession of the game after getting the rebound off the Fox miss, but hey. What's another missed call among friends?

We collectively made too many jokes and memes about how "The Kings are winning in the L2M reports" that the league just gotta course correct, and figuring out that it is "our words versus theirs" is the key to this.
There is no Rashomon if you're debating with the entity that makes up the laws and regulations. As always it's a private league called the NBA that handpicks their choice of best basketball players to participate. Just like all the rules they implemented, they can run it however they see fit even if it is unfair. And it never had and never will have to related to basketball the game in general for them to implement anything at any time.
That's why I only treat it as a casual past time entertainment these days instead of how fanatic I used to treat it.

Yeah the NBA is basically just sports entertainment. I hardly take it seriously anymore. 2002 was bad enough but it jumped the shark during the last decade.
It's just offensive players spazzing out and purposely running into defenders to trick the refs into giving them free points. The swipe through foul is the biggest joke in officiating. I'd say nearly 50% of fouls are actually initiated by the offensive players themselves. It's acting, not sports....and if you happen to be a fan of a team or a player that gets these calls consistently, then it's entertaining. Sports entertainment.

Sadly, much of what you wrote here is true. Or very close to it at least.
I’ve made the case that widespread TV coverage has ruined sports as much as it helped it.
Some may say sports gambling ruined it, but sports gambling is largely dependent upon TV coverage (and now streaming). The masses don’t tend to bet on things they can’t watch.
Gambling aside, these sports leagues have built their brands around marquee players that became famous due to being on TV all the time. And if those marquee players/teams aren’t in the mix it typically means revenue loss.
Thus the motivation to “manipulate” things rose to the next level and has increased decade after decade.
In many ways all these pro sports have developed into their own version of the WWE. While they may not be scripted to the same degree, they are definitely heavily influenced beyond just player performances.

The NBA says that the Kings management moved the sideline during the previous timeout and the player was within bounds.

It is an entertainment league and I suspect gambling is having a more direct effect on the game than in previous iterations, but that is something the league condones and they direct their officials on how to call these games, not the other way around.

The NBA reffing is a joke. It almost makes the NBA unwatchable. And the NBA isn't doing anything about it. The Kings are playing 8 on 5 almost every night.
Really, the only way the Kings will ever have a really good record is to be beating their opponent by 10+ points in the final few minutes, if not, the refs will be trying everything they can to screw the Kings every single time. It's getting tiring.
