Assistant Coaches

I'm curious who is going to do all the calculations on salary caps/trades/FA etc? Has that name been announced?
BJ Armstrong has been an agent for the last two decades so he’s probably got a firm understanding of salary numbers. Perry has also been in the league long enough to know how things work.

This isn’t quite a Vlade situation where we’re getting a guy coming in cold with absolutely no idea how the league works.

I was thinking along the same lines as Tetsu...I don't think this is gonna be a "one person does it all" task...I think both Perry and Armstrong will work together in this department.

Woodson has been the lead defensive guy in prior head coaching stints and was notoriously averse to running modern offenses until his last season and a half or so with the Hoosiers. Feel like this is definitely more of a defensive culture move (going off of Perry’s comments on what he wants the team to be during his presser) than an offensive coach deal. I do wonder who they’re going to bring in to help there even if I feel like a Domas-led offensive system sorta sorts itself out on its own regardless.

Yeah Indiana was a bit of a mess. Doesn’t mean he won’t be a good assistant but …

The entire 2003-2004 Kings rotation aside from CWebb and Anthony Peeler is going to be living in Sacramento next season if Songaila is also joining the coaching staff as reported

This is apparently that entire team’s happy place haha
They felt the roar, and just wanted more!!! :):):)

Yeah, as much as I'm skeptical that Perry is really just a Vivek puppet, he's at least a long-time NBA exec that knows how things work. Absolutely not a Vlade nepo hire

We don't have a huge pool of franchise success to pull from, so I take it as a positive that there are a few former players out there who still consider Sacramento not just a box to check in their careers, or even worse an ordeal to endure, but a home that they'd like to return to in their continuing basketball careers. I'm happy to have Bobby Jackson back home.

Yeah, Bobby is a great case of

1. Love seeing a Kings legend back

2. And is an actual good coach that's more than paid his dues.

Vivek does pay his guys so that's certainly a nice incentive to come back to

Those Kings might not have a championship but they displayed a positive brotherhood on and off the floor. You can't deny the heart and chemistry even after all these years. I loved the old guys showing up for the recent play-in game against the Mavs. Too bad the current team didn't show up on the floor.
