when he plays within OUR offense and we get 20+ assists as a team while Artest is still contributing on the defensive end we can beat anybody.
Yes, we played the Sixers, but my point is not about the win.
Look at the large amount of open shots we received by Artest whenever he was penetrating towards the basket.
If Bibby regains his stroke, he will only get better.
Kevin was under the weather, so we can also expect more form him.
When we are clicking on all cylinders that is what we all expected from the offseason. Brad Miller hitting his outside shots and rebounding inside. Bibby with his sweet stroke and also staying within the offense creating for others. Artest mainly staying within the offense and contributing on both ends of the floor. Martin being our Peja + driving ability.

Enough delusional thinking. If Ron's head is straight, he is a foundation guy. The best player on the team. However so long as he remains the best player on the team we still can NOT beat "anybody", cannot win big, will never be elite. And if Ron's head is NOT on straight, which it rarely is, he's the death delaer to a franchise. He can wipe you out. Ruin your season, poison your chemistry, shatter your fanbase. IF there is a problem going on behind the scenes, you trade him. Trade him now, or deserve every ounce of the disaster that is coming.

If his head is truly on straight, as in not for one good half against the Albany Patroons or whoever we played tonight, you keep him and crunch the rest of the team tryign to find that better player to put in front of him that can bring you a title. But he can't do it himself, and so is not even remotely worth the risk of demoralizing franchise implosion.

its obvious that he can either blow up, or flourish...
as I said before I wasnt talking about the win, but it certainly helped in this topic. Mostly about the gameplay. We arent gonna blow teams out like we did today every game, nor are we gonna beat everybody. Took my words out of context. The "we can beat anybody" is just an expression on how good we can actually play when everybody clicks, which was the first game this season.
I dont remember one game this season where our core of Artest, Bibby, and Miller clicked like they did today. Even if Artest didnt shoot well, we kept the turnovers to a low and played with passion.
That is what we need from Ron. 10-13 shots from him every game. Distribute the shot selection for the entire team with out starting 5 getting the larger chunk of the selection (except for kenny).

Well considering the circumstances in which Ron Artest became a Kings I wouldn't be surprised if the Maloofs were completely against trading Ron Artest.

And if not for the Artest trade who know what would have happened. When your team is losing it motivates you to do many things you may not have thought possible.

Well if someone wants to offer me a better player who is younger and has a better contractual situation for that player, I'll take that deal everytime. I mean, if Denver wanted to trade Melo to us for Artest, I'd take that deal 10 times out of 10.

And then the clock struck 12 with one Ronald Artest on the same $7mil contract, and that as they say was that. No more elite team. Maybe this year no more playoffs. An entire golden era to be scuttled by one nut job who blew up the locker room, tarnished the franchise, ruined two prime seasons, undermined the coach, destroyed his trade value, and then blew town for the next little NBA berg. And all of that without an imminent arena issue threatening to steal the team from town at any moment. If THAT guy is showing back up in Sacto, then he has to be gone, yesterday.
