With over-exuberance for wins comes total despair over losses.

I think it was "chelle" who said in anothe thread that this is a mediocre team. I think she's right...and I think the manic depressive nature of fans will continue until our team is whole again.

We have some very good parts but then we have some stuff hanging around that's just taking up space. I think we need a garage sale...

Seriously!! A garage sale is a great idea. lol...

And, you're right, it's very hard to get used to being mediocre. After many years on the edge of incredible, this is now an okay team. Never mind that 10 years ago we would have been thrilled to be in the playoff hunt, the last several years have spoiled us. We keep thinking we are just one piece away from being that good again. That a Shareef or a Ron Artest will come in and make our world right again, and it's just not true. There isn't a magic answer, so we need to learn to be happy with what we've got.

So, let's take a day to digest the fact that Ron, while a good solid player, isn't the answer to our prayers (or at least the whole answer), and then let's hope that tomorrow we can start a winning streak that will carry us into the playoffs.

Many years of being special, true, but a half season of really sucking. Standing pat probably won't get us the trophy next year, but we are a better team than we were in the beginning of this year. We're making progress.
