Are any of these songs popular?

I think conventional wisdom dictates that if it's free on Amazon.com, they thought they couldn't make money off it. So, I'm guessing not popular.

I skimmed through and didn't even recognize any of the artists, except for Ted Nugent, but if the TDOS draft threads taught me anything, it's that I'm hopelessly stuck in the past when it comes to music of the 21st century.

;)

Ted Nugent and Ani DeFranco are the only artists I recognized. I guess I'm stuck in the same time warp as you VF! :)

OMG - He's on there? Well, that alone pretty much answers my guestion.

:p

If You Leave by OMD was kinda big. I recognized a lot of these artists, I don't really care for most of them, but there's quite a few that are pretty good.

I actually discovered this list a few weeks ago and spent a few hours just getting and discovering new and free music.

On iTunes, the Apples in Stereo are pretty popular and in fact not bad..

But if there were any diamonds in the rough, the best ones that I discovered were:

Toby Lightman - Color. Just a beautiful song.

And also Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings "100 days, 100 nights" and in fact they have ALOT of songs on there by them. They're very fresh yet very old school.

Also, to any fans of techno or dance music, you will want to browse these pages and listen to some of these songs. There are ALOT for free.

Dugg through this and found some gems that are definitely worth the FREE download...
