Any word on Garcia's press conference?

I promise we won't turn this into a Garcia board but for those of us STUCK in Kentucky, it's tough to get news on Sac. I have Directv with sports packages and league pass but Fox Sports bay area doesn't give me squat on the Kings. Just curious as to if a day and time have been set for him to meet the fans and media. Thanks

You will find that the fans in Sac are GREAT about keeping all of us far away fans VERY well informed. As soon as they know, they will let us know. I haven't told y'all thanks for that in a while, so THANKS from all the out-of-towners!!

By the way, welcome aboard owen!

Welcome to the board and don't worry about a thing. There is virtually nothing that goes on with the media that isn't posted here almost immediately. We are a VERY active board, which I'm sure you've already noticed, and we have a long-standing tradition of posting information as soon as it's made available.

Quite frankly, after all the chaos and drama our team has been through over the past year or so, it's great to see so many people showing excitement and enthusiasm again. And we welcome all you Garcia fans. We may not be totally sold on him yet, but I know I'm looking forward to seeing what he can bring to our team. He's got a great attitude and his favorite NBA team is the Kings so those are two big pluses right out of the gate. :D

GO KINGS!!!

us Kentucky fans gotta stick together
Easy there. Not a Kentucky fan here. I know Louisville is in Kentucky but there's a HUGE difference between UofL fans and Kentucky fans.

Thanks for all the responses. I know you're going to get alot of biased response on Cisco from the UofL faithful but i have to tell you, from the first day i saw Cisco play i knew he had "it". I know the NBA game is completely different from the college game and that is why i am most excited for Cisco. He will be a better pro than he was a college player. You're not hearing from any ordinary NBA fan either. I have had NBA league pass for over 12 years, travel to different cities every year to catch NBA games, even seen the Kings three times. Once in Cleveland and twice in Atlanta. I consider NBA opening night as well as the NBA draft, my own personal national holiday! Plus the season is waaaaay too short.... ;)

O'Card knows what he is talking about, he is kind of like an NBA guru at our home site. The UL bias may cloud some fans assessment on Cisco, but He has the game for the NBA, and Pitino has even said he will be a better pro than college player. If so, then watch out.

Speaking for myself, I like what I've seen so far but I'm going to wait and see what happens. It has nothing whatsoever to do with UL at all. It's about whether or not Cisco can make the transition to the NBA and fit into our system.

In general, you guys already know him. Just give us a chance to do the same.

Actually, I'm a California native born at the former Mather AFB. I only started really paying attention to the Wildcats the last couple of years. The first few years out here (came in '96) they were on top of the world and a lot of Wildcat fans reminded me of Laker fans with all the arrogance from their teams winning tradition. When things started to look bleak, then I could watch.

You should know that I could get skinned for admitting that.:)

and that's 75% of why i hate them so much. Even Rex is a Louisville fan now...
Actually he always was. Kentucky just offered him enough money to go to UK ;)

It's OK, a lot of them have been humbled lately.

Now what are you going to do if: The Kings resign Daniels (a closed thread had him listed as restricted, not sure how current that info was), get that fool Morris as a undrafted free agent and even add a azibuke or Hayes for insurance. The last two I'm just kidding on, the last thing the Kings need is another undersized power forward (Hayes).

One thing that is interesting is how many people out here have ties to California. The bad thing is most that I have met are that "other" teams fans.

Although, I know of least one that has changed affiliations to a different team (not the King thankfully).

I would like to second that sentiment. U of L fans, welcome!!! We need some new blood. But once the season starts.....you will see the Jekyl and Hyde mentality of us Kings Fans. But that is what makes it fun.

I managed when Tony Delk was on the Kings so i guess i'd just have to live with it. Morris will be a TOTAL bust wherever he ends up. He is LAZY, unmotivated and simply appears uninterested. Hayes competes but i lost alot of respect for him when the rape thing went down.......As far as Assbazooka.... Not happening......

I never could get a read on him. I mentioned in a different thread that his deamenor is cause for pause. I don't know if the appearance of being uninterested and unmotivated is because he felt that it was just a pit stop or what. Would I give a shot at training camp and see if he was humbled by going undrafted after thinking he should have gone pro from HS. He has the tools, will he use them?

That is a good laugh and I agree.
