Antoine Wright???

Entity

Hall of Famer
Antoine Wright has played a total of 25 min on the season. His TOTAL statline. 2pts 2reb Donte Greene has played 32 min and has 10pts 9reb. Why In the hell is Wright getting those min instead of Donte?

I mean when you see wright come into the game. Its like playing 4 on 5 the whole time he is in there. Wright isn't contributing.

I have no idea why Donte is in the dog house. But he is. However thats a separate issue from Wright. I don't see it as Wright taking away Donte's minutes. I see it as Donte's minutes being lost by Donte and someone is going to get them. Now the fact that its Wright, well, I'd rather bring Marcus Landry up from the D league and give him the minutes before I'd give them to Wright. So far Wright has shown me nothing. And I mean nothing. Wait, he does wave a towel from the bench pretty well.

I was against the signing from the beginning, especially because it meant we weren't bringing back Udoka.

Westphal said something like they give out the minutes according to how they play in practice, and how they deem they stack up against one another. I cant imagine Donte being less effective than Wright on both ends of the court so it must be some off the court issue.

So...I'm assuming Donte has done something worse than gathering DUIs? I don't get it. And I don't like it.

I agree -
Wright has NO business being out there on a professional basketball floor.

ANYONE can chuck 3pt-ers and miss them badly.

PW should not be putting Wright out there.

Wright has to be in my eyes one of the most groan inducing players I've seen on this team in a LONG time, I can't even fully watch the game when he is in there for long stretches. I remember a sequence from last night involving offensive rebounds and about 3 open looks he bricked from 3, just why the F is he in these games? Atleast Udoka hit open looks...

He's theroetically a defensive player guys. Saying "he can't shoot, why is he out there???" is kind of missing the point. Everybody know he can't shoot, but he's survived 6 years in the league because he can stop the other guy from shoting too. Or at least that's the theory. My problem with him right niow is he's just as invisible at everything else as always, but he hasn't been having any tangible effect on defense either, which DOES render him useless.

Ditto, ditto, ditto!!!!! Thats precisely the point. He has no impact at all. Actually thats wrong. He does have the impact of taking the occasional 3pt shot and missing, that someone else might have taken and made. But thats an argument in the abstract. So far he has brought nothing to the floor. His playing time seems to be nothing more than a way to validate his signing. Which of course isn't working, unless you call being invisible an accomplishment.

I know its easy for me to spend someone else's money, but I'd cut him and give some young player in the D league a shot before enduring an entire season with him. Ok, I've vented. Now I feel better..
