Andris Biedrins

Do we have a shot at him ? Looks like Nellie loves to play small ball and Andris Biedrins has been left out of the loop for a while, he was a great rebounder, he has good size. I cant comment much on his defense and block shots, maybe someone who has watched him more can fill me in.

I suggested trying to get Biedrins and Randolph for Kevin and Noc/Hawes a while back. I'd still do it.

That would be a DREAM trade.

Frankly, I think we're one big man away from beating all the elite teams we've lost to lately. We just don't have the frontline to compete with any elite teams right now. Make it happen Petrie!

If we could somehow score one quality shot blocking big man this season, then I think that catapults us to the playoffs. We could draft another big with our mid first round draft pick, and then we'd be ready to rumble with the best of the NBA.

AB would be a very good get for us. While he is not a truly elite shot blocker, he is solid. His value would be with what his brings in other areas.

He is a "garbage man". Plays good D, rebounds, and just plays like a big man. The great thing about him is that he is still very young and would fit in well with our "window of contention". He is earning solid money for a player of his type ($9million per year through to summer of 2013 with a player option for 2013/14 season).

And the best thing is, he is still only 23 (due to turn 24 in april).

Knowing that Nellie has well and truly lost his mind, I would be bugging the living daylights out of him about Biedrins on a daily basis until he is convinced to trade him :D

I'd only do it if we traded Noce because if we didn't we would still have the whole minutes for everyone issue coming around if we had Randolph and Noce around still since both essentially fit the same role (3/4 tweener) and Donte can step into that role as well. If we can nab Biedrins somehow, I'd be happy (though our FT% would drop even more than it is now).

Maybe we can convince Nellie that Noce is actually a center.

I think it's futile to speculate about trades with the Warriors, I don't think even they know what they're going to do with that franchise.

More the reason to talk w/ those idiots. Why else would they take Martin, when they already have a packed backcourt. But seriously, it would be a pipe dream if they took Nocioni's contract. They might bite at Hawes, though. In which case I'd shove him down their throats.

Which is all the more reason to keep asking the question. IMHO its precisely the reason why I think they might be open to listening.

When it comes to the Warriors, I think there's a tendency to think everyone in that organization is an idiot or clueless, when in fact it was only Chris Mullin and to a lesser degree Don Nelson.

Well, Mullin is gone. Nelson no longer has the power he once had. It's Larry Riley at the top now and this guy is not an idiot.

He traded Jamal Crawford for expirings. Traded SJax for expiring + shorter contract. Traded Bellineli for nothing. See a pattern here? Riley is trying to get rid of Mullin's mistakes... for expiring contracts! It's not a secret that next on the chopping block is Corey Maggette. And it's also no secret that any trade that includes a young Warrior also includes Maggette.

Realistically, any trade involving Randolph MUST include Maggette and at least one young big or high draft pick going to the W. As for Biedrins, I don't think the W is fond of trading away because he is the only one who plays any defense. But if you must have him, a package of KT9 + Hawes for Biedrins + Radmanovic may work since Biedrins + Maggatte is too big of a salary to get expirings. But the W do this trade only if they believe that Biedrins has lost a step or will forever be injury-prone.

So in other words, forget about it! It wouldn't make sense for the Kings.

Well Nellie's last team had a 3 point shooting 7 footer too....

*Looks at Hawes*
Just sayin' :p

Plus they can have a pair of lightning fast true scorer back court in Martin and Ellis with Stephen Curry and "Speedy" Claxton back them up....

Go completely insane run-n-gun banana batman scoring 150 points a game and lose :D

Did you just compare Hawes to Dirk? You are a homer.:)

LaFrentz methinks. ;)

Ah forgot about him. I knew it wasn't Shawn Bradley.

I think that Nellie's narrowed down his focus down to 6'9" or below now though. A seven footer might accidently score inside the paint, which is a big Nelle-ball no-no.

Thats the idea. Hit'em while their confused. Let them wake up in the morning with a note on their pillow.:)
