• We're not sure what to think of Washington's new alternate uniforms; we've had an uneasy feeling about alternates (of the non-throwback variety) since the Chicago Bulls debuted their black-and-pinstripe road get-ups during the 1995-96 season. Though the idea of the old-timey two-color scheme seems appealing on paper, Washington probably shouldn't have chosen black and gold.
Gilbert Arenas, on the other hand, seems to be fully in favor of Washington's cash grab, er, stylistic departure. In the five games the team has played in the alternates (road contests against Philadelphia, Phoenix, Houston and the Lakers and a home game against Cleveland), Arenas has averaged an astounding 46.4 points on 61 percent shooting. Washington has won four of the five games.

Kinds of a rip off of ours, but those are worse, when i first saw them playing in those i thought they were practice jerseys, and the shorts beeing a different color than the jerseys just looks odd to me, not a fan of them at all.

I disagree. I think ours are still worse. The fact the Wizards don't have gold lamé shorts to complete the ensemble is a point IN their favor, IMHO.

I actually kinda like em too, im actually not a fan of our home jerseys, i liked the old ones better, then again im not really a fan of any of the newer jerseys in the NBA, my fan jerseys are all the mid 90s ones, with huge logos on them instead of such plain fonts and what not.

I get the idea of throwbacks for the history of the team. These alternates, just for the sake of having an alternate, is downright stupid in my book.
If they're gonna do that at least don't make them so gosh darn fugly!

I read about how Arenas has been upset his barrage against Kobe and the Lakers went largely un-noticed. I would tell him it was because of those ugly uniforms. Who wants to watch highlights of those black and gold mistake.

That's what I was about to say. They only went halfway, while our Kings took it ALL THE WAY with the worst color on a jersey in the NBA. Also, black and gold looks much better than purple and gold.
