Amico: Rudy Gay pushing for trade before thursdays deadline per basketballinsider

Considering the source, I find it very hard to believe. I will start believing it when more reputable journos start reporting it.

Yep. I still feel the same way about Rudy (if he wants to be here, fine and if he doesn't then Bye Felicia) but I should have checked the "source" before replying. Just in case anyone forgets how much "inside info" Amico really has, here's an oldie but a goodie:

Sam Amico ‏@SamAmicoFSO 4m
Source in tune with Kings' hiring of Mike Malone as coach suggests move was made with the idea that DeMarcus Cousins "is a goner."

Don't forget that any idiot can have a Twitter account, tweet out the most ridiculous "trade rumor" and someone somewhere will pick it up and run with it. I'm waiting now for somebody to come up with the "Well, Rudy didn't deny it so it must be true" crap.

I hate the 48 hours before the trade deadline.

I resemble that remark! Yikes.

Why? So everyone that works for Twitter loses their job and is out of work? If someone doesn't like twitter, then don't go there.

And what I posted is stating that's what's starting to happen...... that was the point.

Not sure why you are turning it into an employment thing. That was the furthest thing from my mind. I just don't care for how it has completely screwed up reporting and wish it would go away. I don't go there now yet I still am subjected to the adverse affects from it, so your advice really rings hollow......

so all these reports are coming out that Butler wants out first, then Ben and now Rudy? hmm....if true, the writing is on the wall. I want him gone but if you can't get anything for him by tomorrow's deadline, wait til the off season and try again. Same for Ben.

Twitter isn't going anywhere. It's going to evolve and change, but the appeal of getting a message around the world instantly is undeniable. I followed the capture of Boston Marathon bombing suspects on Twitter. Yes, there were some stupid things being said but there was also a large amount of truth that regular media simply could not compete with.

One of the secrets to Twitter is NOT to follow everybody. Pick people you trust, whose opinion you value, and follow them. For example, I only follow a handful of sports personalities, but I'm pretty sure I haven't missed anything of value because the people I do follow share the important stuff without retweeting every single thing that comes along.

Some reporters who use Twitter are oftentimes more concerned with being first than being right. That's on them and it's not Twitter's fault.

I completely agree. However, unfortunately, the twitter medium is widely used in that manner. As long as it exists, it ain't likely to change.

I personally do not have an account nor do I follow anyone. I occasionally search it for things such as HS football scores and other odd things I'm trying to find out about. But the general public's reliance upon it as one source of truth and the media's use of it as a way of not having to fact check has really ruined it IMO.
