Charity bet. Fox walks for nothing, you win, Fox doesn't walk for nothing, I win. $100
you want to give me odds since I said it was possible and not probable. I give it a 5-10% chance which is not a straight up bet.

You know Fox might want to rethink this because in the last 27 years when the kings trade their best player their careers are over one way or another in just 2-3 years
Richmond, Webber, Peja, Martin, Evans, cousins, now Fox
Fox isn’t a “decent role player” though

Sabonis hasn’t been traded. Fox was best player before Sabonis. That point is moot because Sabonis is our best player.
Ew. Just off the strength of the lakers being involved, I’d want no parts. So six teams could be Spurs Kings Lakers Atlanta Nets and maybe Jazz. We need that trade machine to start smoking! My head hurts just thinking about it.
Yeah it hasn’t really been close for a while now, injury or not. That point is moot because Sabonis is our best player.
I think Lakers were interested in CP3 don’t know what they would give upEw. Just off the strength of the lakers being involved, I’d want no parts.
So if it's 5-10%, why even bring it up? That's not very likely for Monte to **** something up is it? Or could you just be looking for an opportunity to dig at Monte for no reason?
I'm not giving you 10-1 on a stupid forum charity bet lol.
Maybe Vanderbilt since he’s barely played for them anyhowI think Lakers were interested in CP3 don’t know what they would give up
Yeah salary matches up with cp3Maybe Vanderbilt since he’s barely played for them anyhow
Just trade for as many future firsts as you can. This team is going nowhere with or without Fox and it’s been that way for years.
we had one good season largely down to the health of the other teams. And despite that still couldn’t get out of the first round.
You're the reason we created our own country.Just trade for as many future firsts as you can. This team is going nowhere with or without Fox and it’s been that way for years.

I got another one…
————————————
ATL GETS: Brandon Ingram
ATL GIVES: De’Andre Hunter & Bogdan Bogdanovic
WHY FOR ATL? Get another go-to option and playmaker next to Young, or if they covet another 2025 FA, this trade gives them cap space to pursue them.
————————————
BKN GETS: Chris Paul, Tre Jones, Trey Lyles, & Picks
BKN GIVES: Cam Johnson & Day’Ron Sharpe
WHY FOR BKN? They get expirings to open up more cap space and picks for their rebuild.
————————————
NOP GETS: Harrison Barnes, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Kevin Huerter, Zach Collins, Jeremy Sochan, & Picks
NOP GIVES: Zion Williamson & Brandon Ingram
Why for NOP? Move on from the Zion/Ingram era and retool around Murphy, Jones, Sochan, their picks, and the cap space they’ll have in 2026 (all incoming players expire after next season except for Sochan)
————————————
SAS GETS: De’Aaron Fox & DeMar DeRozan
SAS GIVES: Harrison Barnes, Zach Collins, Chris Paul, Tre Jones, Jeremy Sochan, & Picks
WHY FOR SAS? Get their star PG to pair with Wemby long term and get a familiar face in DeRozan to give them another secondary go-to option.
————————————
SAC GETS: Zion Williamson, Cam Johnson, De’Andre Hunter, & Day’Ron Sharpe
SAC GIVES: De’Aaron Fox, DeMar DeRozan, Kevin Huerter, Trey Lyles, & Picks
WHY FOR SAC? They take a big swing on hoping Zion can get his health/injuries in order while also adding two very good shooters with good size & length on the wing. We also get an upgrade at backup C.
————————————
After this trade, we’d have a rotation of…
PG - Monk / Carter / McLaughlin
SG - Ellis / Jones
SF - Murray / Hunter / McDermott
PF - Zion / Johnson / Crowder
C - Sabonis / Sharpe / Len
Monk, Ellis, Murray, Hunter, Johnson, & Sabonis is a heck of a lot of shooting around Zion, and we’d have really good forward depth to stay afloat in case Zion is battling an injury (not to mention our designated iron man and floor raiser in Sabonis to keep us competitive during the regular season). I’m sure Monk would love to have a legit lob threat in Zion to pass to and he can get out in the fast break with him as well. I’m sure a high-low game of Sabonis to Zion could be very effective as well.
Defensively is where we’d have the biggest question marks. I don’t think anyone in that rotation is a huge liability or turnstile, but we’d need to lean on Ellis, Carter, & Murray to be our stoppers/defensive playmakers with guys like Johnson, Hunter, etc. playing solid on that end of the floor.
Maybe it's just I'm so numb to this stupid team, that a Zion package is growing on me. Just go for maximum "fun" at this point.
At least with Zion, we will have some hope. Then it will get crushed with injury. Then we will have hope again…
But someone that can be a legit top 10 player when healthy is hard to get.
I'm not on the Zion train. But for those who are, the Pels losing DeJounte Murray to an achilles injury might be the final push they need to blow things up.
I disagree. We are 3.5 games out of 5th and have been playing well. Playing well without/despite Fox. We seemed to be better with Monk running things and if we can plug in a Collins type player next to Sabonis or even a legit backup center we are a better team. I don’t buy the “we are going nowhere fast”Just trade for as many future firsts as you can. This team is going nowhere with or without Fox and it’s been that way for years.

It's not my first, second or third option, but I'd much rather roll the dice on Zion rather than retreads like Beal/LaVine/Grant/Kuzma, etc. Best case with Zion is you get a top 10 player on the cheap, as unlikely as it is he stays healthy. Best case with the Beal/LaVine tier is we're like slightly better than we are now?
No, I totally get the rationale. The issue for me is that Zion isn't just injury prone, he doesn't seem to care enough to take the type of steps that could avoid future injuries. I think the odds of him staying healthy long enough to be a difference maker are very close to zero.

It’s embarrassing listening to national media podcasts who keep saying the Kings need a player back to replace Fox.
