AMENDED POR and NY Deals...

Alright, after much review, I took all criticism into consideration, and came up with deals that would yield a lineup of:

C- Miller
PF- Randolph#
SF- Thornton/Young/Green/Wright#
PG- Crawford#
SG- Martin

6- Salmons, SF
7- Frye, C#
8- Garcia, GF
9- Rose, PF#
10- Cardinal, SF#
11- Rodriguez, PG#
12- Williams, FC

#= New Acquisition

Terrible or decent? Thoughts?

The deals are

Trade #1
I don't really like giving up Artest for that. Frankly I don't want Crawford or Frye on the Kings long term. Crawford has bounced around the league enough to know he isn't going to develop into a star, or even really a viable starter as he was on again off again with a terrible terrible Knicks team. Frye is soft even by Easter conference standards. I'd rather get enders and a pick in a deep draft for Ron than a group of guys who probly won't be difference makers.

I think it's an ok deal. Randolf is flawed but he's still a 20-10 guy who can score in the low post. Rodriguez is a young guy who could definitely develop. If you're talking about the type of rebuild where you still try to compete year to year and stay constantly mediocre this is the kind of deal you'd make. I think Bibby is our best trade piece and if we're talking about blowing the whole thing up and truly rebuilding, Randloph isn't a guy you want on board; Bad attitude, bad knees, not that young anymore.

Trade #3
Not sure I understand this trade... You give up a bad three year deal and a guy you drafted in the first last year for... a bad three year deal? I just don't see any benefit from the trade except perhaps trying to get a guy in Cardinal who fits whith the other trades you've made here. I think Reef is another guy who can still be valuable to contending teams in the right situation and we should be able to parlay that into an ender at least.

Ultimately the lineup you come up with is mediocre at best and probly still can't crack the western conference playoffs. The contract situation hasn't really improved and We've moved Artest and Bibby for less talented, less tradeable pieces whose contracts don't really end any sooner. Kinda looks like a series of Webberesque deals.
