I'm sure they one made up for each team just in case.

P.S. As an aside while I think of this as their "third championship" too, to the best of my knowledge the Spurs have exactly 1 player and 1 coach who have been there through all three. Kind of odd. Its 2 for most of the major players (well, 6 for Horry).

Had they not made the midseason trade, Malik Rose would have been the other Spur on the team for all three championships.

Of course, there's a great case to be made that without Nazr Mohammed making the Rasho signing look like one of the few Spurs missteps, there wouldn't be another LOB trophy in San Antonio.

This is just another affirmation that the NBA is a superstar driven league. As long as they build around and compliment Duncan, the Spurs will compete. The same thing happened in Chicago. How many players were around for all six titles? Just two. And we all know who they were.

lol yea i heard they already had one made for each team... the first commercials that came on right after the game ended, it showed the Spurs DVD and a whole bunch of other stuff, and the guy said "The Spurs are the 2005 NBA Champions".. haha i was like damn that was quick..

remember a few years back when the giants had a 3-2 lead on the angels and were ahead by what, 4 runs in the seventh? guys down in the clubhouse had their world champion t-shirts on and uncorked the champagne already, celebrating a sure victory.

yeah. that sucked. but people always have to be ready for something like this, just in case, like san antonio having a parade scheduled for today
