all-star ballot released tomorrow

Actually, I can't believe how early they do this. Who can really tell anything about a player's season at this point, other than you can probably assume certain players will be very, very good.

Oops, I forgot.....this isn't about how well a player is actually playing. ;)

Something tells me someone in the east will get an all star spot they really don't deserve. Jianlian Yi will beat out either Lebron or KG for a starting spot. Unless NBA fans rally to support those two.

I wonder -- not as if Yao beat Shaq out in his early years. And LeBron and KG have their own massive hype about them.

As for Kevin, well, he's not going to get voted in. Just no chance. What he has to do is sustain, and then hope that the coaches add him. Will probably need us to not be godawful, and a few guys ahead of him getting injured There's normally about 5 guards taken, and you figure Nash, Kobe, TMac are locks, and who could keep Paul or Deron out with the way they are playing for playoff teams? And that's before we get to A.I., Baron, Parker...

Who I would vote for thus far:

Eastern Conference

PG: Jason Kidd
SG: Ray Allen
SF: LeBron James
PF: Kevin Garnett
C: Dwight Howard

Reserves: Andre Iguodala, Joe Johnson, Chauncey Billups, Chris Bosh, Richard Jefferson, Paul Pierce, Zydrunas Ilgauskas

Western Conference:

PG: Chris Paul
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Shawn Marion
PF: Carlos Boozer
C: Yao Ming

Reserves: Steve Nash, Kevin Martin, Tracy McGrady, Josh Howard, Al Jefferson, Tim Duncan, Marcus Camby

Yi is not on the ballot, can he still be voted in?

I don't care if it's a popularity contest or not. I'm voting for Kevin as many times as I possibly can...

:)

nailed it brick.

paul, deron, kobe, tmac AND THEN baron, parker, etc. sheesh

sigh, kevin martin is a great player. even with him being 3rd in scoring its gona be tough. people hate the kings, but i will still vote for him.

We only have 1 forward on the list, Artest.

Gee, and I was hoping to vote for Kenny and Mikki...

NOT!

However, I will happily vote for Kevin Martin and no other guard, so as to not build up the count for his competition.

IMHO, Bibby isn't a factor because he may not play until February anyway.

It's an accomplishment just to be on the ballot. Congratulations, Kevin!~

I'm going to vote right now!!!

Remember...

Vote early, vote every day and vote ONLY for Kevin Martin as guard from the West.

:)

They have it set up to allow you to vote once a day...

:D
Well, I voted last night. Must go check and see if I am allowed to vote again. :D

Edit: Bummer! I forgot about the 3 hr time difference to NY, where the NBA offices are. I must have voted late and it counted for today (because it was already today on EST).
