AI; "practice, we talkin about practice!"

I do not waste my time hating. But I refuse to make excuses for the rich and spoiled. The DUDE made 21 Million this year. If 21 Million is not enough to get your family together whenever you want, I do not know what is. Do you realize what can be done with 21 million dollars? The guy has ZERO excuses.

Go ahead and defend him all you want, I am sure he appreciates it.

What is he going to do? Buy them new jobs? By them time? What? I'm curious. 21 million dollars is alot of money, but it's not magic. He is not lounging around all day, every day, he has a demanding job. Like it or not, that's the way it is. I'll concede my point if you make an intelligent suggestion as to how having alot of money can make the world stop going round, stop peoples daily lives etc..

The dude plays 82 NBA games each season and since he's only occasionally gotten to the playoffs that means he slaves away at his job around November-April. Nice employment that requires you to play basketball about 7 months with rest the of the year a vacation. PLENTY of time to rest at home with family or jet-set with them off to Bahamas, Hawaii, or anywhere on the planet. Not an ounce of sympathy from this quarter. Zero jealously, no hate, just no standing up whatsoever for AI on his shafting teammates, organization, the NBA and Piston fans.

Most players don't simply stop playing over the summer (some have, but most don't). You're also cutting out all or pre-season and training camp. Anyway, that's beside the point. I am not saying AI was right; I am saying, it's not the end of the world. People are acting as if the sky is falling - give it a rest. He missed a practice, he'll pay the price. End of. I hate all this moral crap - particularly when it was to be with his family on a national holiday. If he just didn't turn up for no reason, then take the moral highground. But this,.

Dude, if you honestly cannot figure out how to get your family together when you have a $21 Million budget and half the year off, you should consider a government job.

I am out, I'd rather debate about a team or player that I actually care about.

Way to dodge the question. If there were so many answers you'd just as easily have named one off and be done with me, but you can't.
And I never said he doesn't see them all year, but do you really expect him not to see his family over an 8 month span (not half a year as you sweepingly put it)?

Anyway, I shall expect no reply. BTW, for someone who loves discussing players you care about, I seldom see you posting in the main forums. ;)

Easy for you to schedule..that is a blessing (:D I'm not even religious). The majority have to wait for national holiday where the majority of family can actually get a day off from work.
It is not easy at all.

It's just that family is important enough in my extended family that we very conciously try and pick a time and day that works for the most people, which may well not be the actual holiday date. Quite a few years it had to be Sunday evening, which meant I had to drive 2-3 hours to get home afterward (late) and get up for work the next day. Nope, not easy at all. Just worth it.

I hope that is not your version of PWNage. I am expecting you to have some assemblance of common sense. Have you ever organized a family get together?

Maybe you should do some research. I have always been very active in the Kings Forum. Its not my fault Kingsnation is currently a bit depressing not to mention TDOS just ended.

Anyways, if I ever get motivated, I'll do a quick search and show you just how far $21 Million would go towards a family get together. And I will lay out a full explanation on how that $$ could alleviate the usual pressures of life that is basically common sense.
