Does anyone know where I can see the Rick Adelman tribute video they played during the pregame at the Kings/T-Wolves game?

Not sure, maybe youtube or NBA.com under Kings page. But i know where you can go listen to Grant and other fans bash Adelman for not acknowledging the fans during the standing ovation. I was there, a few rows up and had a good line of sight to coach. I really didn't think much of it at the time, but Grant and folks calling in this week were all bent out of shape. I guess in retrospect it may have been weird he did not at least raise his hand in acknowledgment, but like i said, at the time i thought nothing of it and was just showing my appreciation for the guy by standing and clapping.

That's just not Adelman. He has never sought the spotlight. I'm not surprised.

It wasn't weird. It was vintage Adelman. He rarely showed emotion. Grant, as usual, is trying to make something out of less than nothing. It could also be that Adelman didn't want to acknowledge the ovation because it really was very emotional for him and he didn't want to show it.

Grant Napear has to have something to be all bent out of shape about. This isn't the first time he's thrown someone under the bus...and I'm pretty sure it won't be the last. If you were there and didn't think it was strange, don't let Napear and his minions convince you otherwise.

I have seldom seen as much fuss over a man doing nothing as this. I heard Grant's Rant, dumb. I like Grant's play by play and listen to his radio show. Sometimes when he rants I turn him off.

I have always thought Adelman was a little shy. IMO this makes it hard for him to react in public in an overt way.

Lets face it...His best years of his coaching career were at Sac. It couldn't have been easier coaching a team like that. You just tell them to go out there and play. The players ran the show themselves and had intuitive plays throughout every game. It's a coach's dream job.
As much as I didn't like Rick during his years in Sac (I can't really appreciate an unemotional coach) but I do respect all the work he's done in his career now and how he's always ran a team fluidly without error.

However, not starting Drazen Petrovic was his biggest mistake in his career :b

I realize he is going to stay at Minnesota as a consultant but someone mentioned a short time ago that Adelman should be an offensive consultant to the Kings. Not a bad idea. Adelman had Carill. Malone could sure use Adelman.

I was at the game when Adelman first came back to Sacramento. I remember hearing the TV cut out the Rockets introduction and it went to commercial. But Adelman waved at the crowd at that time.. Why was this any different?

Basically, Napear is a schmuck and Rick is one of the greatest things to ever happen to this franchise. While Napear seeks out the spotlight and to create turmoil, Rick has always shied away from spotlight and much like Pop, is uncomfortable with attention going to him rather than his team.

Too bad it isn't Napear hanging it up and calling it a career.

I'm not sure I'd make that comparison to Rick and Pop. Pop has way more of a personality and sense of humor than Adelman does. He's very comfortable in front of the camera and comes across as very genuine. I agree that Rick shied away from the spot like and was uncomfortable with attention given to him. I'm not even sure I can remember a time where I saw Rick genuinely smile!
