i don't really know where else to stick this comment, but i just wanna say that i really miss rick adelman:
Minnesota Timberwolves hope to attract some veteran talent with their new 'vibe'
"Coach Rick Adelman has stressed to Kahn and team owner Glen Taylor that the quickest way to turn around a 26-40 season is to add veteran talent."
"When you look at Kevin and Ricky, and the style we play, I think people will take a look at what we have," Adelman said. "In terms of trades, we have pieces people would like to play with. This team was pretty good not too long ago until the injuries set in."
it sure is nice to have a head coach who is not reactionary, who understands what he has in his team, and understands what his team requires to get to the next level. he doesn't panic in the face of adversity. he's just as steady as they come, and understands professional basketball as a big picture game. ****, even kahn is showing some semblance of getting it:
"Nikola Pekovic established himself as the team's center of the future, so the Wolves would need to add only a backup center, not a starter. The center position is not a major concern, although Kahn indicated the team could use more shot-blocking."
i'm gonna be one depressed kings fan if the wolves begin filling in their gaps with the same gm who passed on demarcus cousins, while the gm who did not hesitate in drafting demarcus cousins has either become too impotent to get the job done any further, or is hamstringed by payroll-slashing owners...
