Im am a huge Webber fan but you have to put emotions aside, this was a buisness deal that took place. The NBA is a buisness and we a meerely spectators. I know it hurt a lot of you and probably the majority of the Kings Nation but now is the time were we, as well as the other Kings cant let this trade hold us down and cloud our other expectations and goals for this season.
First of all...
Games with Chris Webber Playing:
Brad Miller: 14.3 pts, 8.9 reb, 3.8 ast (45 games)
Mike Bibby: 18.8 pts, 4.4 reb, 6.0 ast (45 games)
Peja Stojakovic: 19.0 pts, 4.0 reb, 1.8 ast (41 games)
Games without Chris Webber Playing:
Brad Miller: 23.8 pts, 10.6 reb, 4.3 ast (8 games)
Mike Bibby: 20.3 pts, 4.6 reb, 7.2 ast (8 games)
Peja Stojakovic: 25.7 pts, 5.7 reb, 1.7 ast (4 games)
Note: Peja and Chris both missed a few games in early Jan together, that is why Brad and Mike have more games without CWebb.
Change in team outlook:
+17.7 pts, +3.8 reb, +1.6ast from these 3 players.
Webbers 2004 stats:
21.3 pts, 9.7 reb, 5.5 ast in 46 games
Im not sure how this will all turn out, but as it has played out so far this season, when Webber is out, those 3 play significantly better. Also, if you can think back to last season around this time... Peja was lighting things up, untill Webber came back.
Dont get me wrong, I am not saying the trade was good or that Webber was a cancer, etc, I am only showing you all some stats... what you think of it is up to you.
