Whats up KF.Com

I get Nba 2k every year, and every year me and some friends play in a online league, most of those guys are from boston, so I get the kings pretty much every year ..

Here is how it works, There are 30 teams, 30 different players, one player controls 1 team .. we play the nba 82 game season and playoffs. We are aloud to trade whenever we want.

What this thread is for: Ive seen other sites who have fans of there team kind of journal there online season, this is what Im going to do here .. the league will most likely tip off tonight so I'll see if I can get some games in with our kings...

News: The season hasnt started yet, but Im in trade talks with the owner of the 76ers, trying to get a deal to bring me theo ratliff ( in real life obviously the kings are in it for the rebuild, but I, like mussleman, want to win now , haha ) I think his rebounding and shot blocking would be huge for the nba 2k9 kings .. the kings are soft.. theo can help with that.


Thats all I got for know, Im sure 99% of the people here wont read this thread twice, but I think it could be fun .. post questions if you have em !

It'd be a hell of a thing if the Charlotte Bobcats end up winning the championship in this league, eh?

After the first two games of the season, the kings are 2 - 0 .. still getting a feel for the game so most of the scores thus far are very low ..

Game 1
Sacramento 57 - Orlando 55
Kings had a huge lead in this one but almost blew it with a 3rd quarter where they could only muster 7 points. Martin led the way with 18. He converted 4 of his 8 3PA. Kevin Martin was named POG. Game 2
Sacramento 80 - Oklahoma City 66
This game was little better from a realistic standpoint ( yet still very low scoring game, and kings played defense! ) Kevin led the way again with 22 points. He was POG yet again but personally I thought it should have went to Bobby Jackson, who played very well with 15 points off the bench and really changed the pace of the game when Beno was playing poorly. I remember we used to have a thread like this, but it was with created characters representing forum members. I forgot who made that thread, but I remember he just stopped doing these.

I've only been on this board a little over a year so I don't know who you're referring to. But man I'd love to do something like that. And I actually know 5 of us (now) with a PS3. What's your PSN name?

Well, after 2 days the kings now stand at 2 - 2 .. going 0-2 since I last posted.

Game 3
Boston Celtics - 90 Sacramento Kings - 80
This was a tough loss, It was closer than a 10 point game as free throws pumped up the score a little bit. Martin only had 14 points while garcia led it for the kings with 16. Jackson also had 11 points , playing alot of minutes for the struggling Beno ( Sadly Bobby Brown isnt in the game yet ). Garnett and pierce combined for 42 points and the story of the game was really the celtics bigs, which sactown just couldnt stop. 76ers 77 Kings 73
Another close loss, Martin was the bright spot with 26 and got pretty much anything he wanted. Brand looked good in a 76ers uniform with 16 and AI added 20. BoxScore can be found Here: http://community.2ksports.com/community/league/game.cfm?l=5370&g=363779


Since this game came out on the 7th, the serves are acting up and its been hard to get games in .. It could be slow for the next few days ..

Quick little update , Kings are now 5-8 .. went through a realy tough patch of games but have won the last 3 straight ..

Kenny thomas, Mikki Moore and Beno Udrih could be on the move for ben wallace, JR Giddens and Mike Taylor .. we'll see.

mkf, lemme know when you see bobby brown added in. i just dl'ed the opening night roster, and he still isnt there. i have sporadic access to broadband for my ps3, so i cannot actually check for updates with it. good thread idea btw

I was away from my PS3 for several weeks, so I'm not sure when he was added, but he is in there now. Rating: 68. Also, Hawes rating has improved, he's now an 80 (better than Miller at 79). Salmons is 82

Just got this game a couple weeks ago, (yes a little late I know :p) - but anyways, it's my first time in 15 years not playing NBA Live instead!! :eek: So I have officially converted and let me say that this game is freaking awesome!

Live has NOTHING on it.

Yeah it definitely is much better than NBA Live. Quite a while ago in Live 07, I was ranked very high each week and I could win like 80% of my games, but it really wasn't very fun. In Live all you need to do is use moves and drive to the hoop pretty much. 2k is much more balanced.

If any of you guys want to do something in 2k9 with me on Live my gamertag is SmiIe For Killcam (the L in smile is an I).

yeah i was able to play at my friends house with his nba 2k9 at the HD tv.. i swear i wanted to steal his tv while he was asleep! it was freakin awesome compared to a regular tv!!!

I'd be happy to hand out several beat downs...
The only problem is my game suffers big time if I play with any other team. lol
I guess I could make it work. Where do I sign up?
