A point guard flying a little under the radar:

His A/TO ratio is cause for concern, as is his size, but he compensates for it somewhat by being a very good rebounder, and by being likely to go undrafted. If he does, I'd be happy to see him playing for us in the summer league, we need some cheap but reasonably okay players for our bench.

I liked Beverley best in his freshman year, actually--he has very good athletic markers--with a very good free throw rate and one of the best rebounding rates (among PGs this year he would rank as the best defensive rebounder) for his position. But there's red flags--his shooting went south after his freshman year, and he really struggled to shoot 2's last year, as validated by his poor free throw shooting--and his steals rate dropped fairly significantly. He's a low possession player, but he prefers to shoot with those possessions--he's not a point guard at all, and even for shooting guard standards he has a fairly poor assist rate.

Overall just not sure if he's an NBA player--between the very pedestrian shooting numbers, the lack of a point guard mentality and the red flags he raised, I don't think his athletic markers make up for it. Probably a Europe player at best.

I remember him his freshman year. I thought then that he was too much of a shoot first point guard. What he has learned in europe is still up for grabs. I always like to give young players the benefit of the doubt when it comes to improvement. I remember him as being pretty athletic and quick, but a little on the skinny side. God forbid, a sort of a Douby look alike.
