My own personal feeling on this is that you can't really have Salmons and Garcia on the floor together because 1) they're not point guards and 2) they hold the ball way too long. Douby definitely took some ill-advised shots, but when he gets the ball he does something with it, whether that's creating a shot or giving up the ball.
With Salmons and Garcia it's dribble dribble dribble dribble dribble... I mean, there was one possession where Garcia basically had the ball for the entire 24 second shot clock and then made a prayer of a long jump shot. To me it makes at least some sense when Salmons is doing this -- Salmons can at least create his own shot or create shots for others, and he's probably the best person on the team at getting a good look when the team really needs one.
When Garcia tries to do this dribble dribble dribble stuff he inevitably shoots some off balance jump shot that he may or may not make. He's much better at scrappy points rather than trying to create his shot -- it's not his game. He needs to focus on getting other people shots, but for whatever reason he think she needs to create for himself.
And when you have five guys looking only for their own shot you have games with 6 assists and 13 turnovers...
