what was jennings averages over there? now look @ him. I agree you can't compare. Tyreke has the chance to be the best player in the league, if things go as planned that is. If Rubio came over hed do good, but not on Rekes level.

Uhh... has anybody pointed out that Evans' stats are not all that much better than Rubio's?

Ricky Rubio
P/36m: 11.4
R/36m: 4.9
A/36m: 7
S/36m: 2.5

Tyreke Evans
P/36m: 19.4
R/36m: 5.0
A/36m: 5.6
S/36m: 1.4

I don't think it actually means anything, but I don't know if you can point at those stats and laugh at someone based on that.

Not bashing rubio, but anytime you take fewer minutes and multiply them for per/48 or per 36 or whatever it isn't exactly accurate. What if every game Spencer Hawes goes for 7,4,4 in the 1st quarter, and then sits for the rest of the game. He's done that a couple of times. You're telling me you're going to compare him to the likes of Dwight and Bosh and all cos per 36 he averages 21,12,12?

That's less of a problem when you take the totals for an entire season (and when a player plays 20 minutes a game rather than just the first quarter). Also, if Hawes went for 7, 4, 4 in the first quarter every game then that would be significant. The reason he doesn't is because it averages out just like everything else.

But of course my point was that the stats don't really say much about the comparison, not that they do. :)

This is so beating on a dead horse. I was a pro Rubio guy last year and was pretty disappointed during the draft. Anybody who still thinks that we should have drafted Rubio is plain ignorant. Reke is a beast, he's having one of the best rookie seasons OF ALL TIME. I'm very glad he's going to be a King for a long time. Cheers Tyreke, you're the man. Let's please stop this nonsense. 20/5/5.....

I think that's a pretty good summation post. I'm not big on closing threads, but this topic has caused nothing but trouble on this board and amongst the fanbase. Its ridiculous that it is still so with Reke putting up LeBron numbers, but the over the top Rubio hype really damaged things aorund here. So I'm going to close this thing up.
