Referees missed three seconds in the paint and traveling by Webber (2) and goaltend (1).

If brad had the ball in his hands with 1.1 seconds then obviously c-webb passed it to him before that point so it wasnt a 3 in the key

Who cares?

If you go back and review any game tape, you're going to see a lot of things that weren't called.

Sorry, but this looks like a "Yeah, but..." type thing to me. The new guy from ARizona comes and immediately wants to point the finger away from the non-call against Amare to something else.

Cool.

That was two days ago. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm pretty much over it.

I'm looking forward to tonight's game and the rest of the season.

it was against Dallas and Mark Cuban was the one that complained about it...making sure that the coaches told the refs...and Chris was called two times for it...i thought it was pretty funny....cuz the look the on Chris's face after it was called for the second time...he couldn't help but smile a little...lol
I thought it was against Minny. As a matter of fact, I remember laughing because Flip Saunders brought it to the refs attention and it ended up hurting them as well because Garnett kept getting called for it also.

It was actually both, although Mark Cuban was the one who first went public with the tape he sent to the league about Webber.

Mark Cuban hired a bunch of statistians to collect these call things. Do they build math models and plan some strategies towards different refs? Maybe... Is it useful? Maybe not quite; they are now only No.5 in the west. LOL

OK. It seems to me that there’s a lot of anger among Kings players and fans who feel they had were robbed by the referees not calling the last play correctly. We’re simply pointing out that if they had called it correctly, there would have been no shot in the first place, so the goaltending argument would be moot.

Good luck. Give Danny Fortson a kick in the teeth from us.

If the entire game would have been called corretly, there wouold have been no need for us to talk about the no-call.

I saw the clip, and I agree with you.

I also agree that traveling and offensive 3-second violations are not heavily policed over the course of the entire game.

That does not change things at all with the outcome, because goaltending is almost always called when it occurs.

What was pointed out came from you, a Suns fan, who obviously felt the need to dissect the play further, so that you could satisfy yourself with the victory.

But, you see, in that same vein, I could go even further and claim that Webb was clearly fouled by Stoudemire as he was making the play that was traveling and prior to the 3-second call. If you look closely, I don't think I'm wrong there. So Webb should have had two free throws to tie it.

Then someone elese could find another issue before that...and on and on...

The point is that the game got to a point where no whistles stopped it and a shot was headed into the goal, so the focus of analysis should be on that play. That's the ONLY point.

OK, now, let's beat Seattle, shall we???

Supposedly .....

Close call there. I only count two seconds during that clip, but he may have been in the paint longer during the layup.

Kevin "The Rat" on the Rise Guys minus One, this morning said he watched and watched and timed and timed the final 2 minutes over-n-over and said there were several violations the refs DID NOT blow the whistle on.

In particular, that last play .... supposedly Kevin "The Rat" counted C-Webb in the paint for approx 7-seconds.

I don’t think I agree.

So Webb should have had two free throws to tie it.
Would you rather have a .636 career free-throw shooter on the line having to make two out of two, or would you rather have Brad all alone under the hoop? All he had to do was lay it up off the glass!

So I’d say that even if the refs did miss a foul there, that non-call favored the Kings, because the non-call gave the Kings a better opportunity than they would have had with Webb on the line.

The point is that the game got to a point where no whistles stopped it and a shot was headed into the goal, so the focus of analysis should be on that play. That's the ONLY point.
All the analysis is on that play. That play featured two missed calls that, if called, would for all intents and purposes have ended the game in the Suns’ favor, and another missed call that, if called, would have given the Kings an opportunity, but an opportunity inferior to the one they were actually given.

So any blame on the referees is misplaced. Kings fans should thank the refs for not calling the travel, thank the refs for not calling three seconds, thank the refs for not putting Webber on the line, blame Brad for not laying it up off the glass (or dunking), and blame Amare for making what the referees, the national media, and KHTK all agree was a clean block.

OK, now, let's beat Seattle, shall we???
You first. We got next.

cap - You need to look at Webber's FG% THIS YEAR if you're going to make articulate comments.

He worked very hard on his free throw shooting and has improved considerably.

Other than that, I don't see the need to continue to argue about something that's over and done. But feel free to continue. We've never been ones to stop people from striking deceased equines.

yeah....i think this topic is dead and over. the kings made their statement, the suns made theirs, and the refs obviously made theirs. we'll see what they take from this experiance, cuz it wont mean **** unless they grow from it. if they let it get to them, let it get them down, then one regular season win or loss against phoenix wont matter, anyways. they need to come out with fire, and say "screw the officials. they wont take games form us, and wont have the opportunity to do so anymore, cuz we're gonna kick some ***." that kinda attitude will win them a lotta games here and down the stretch after the allstar break.
