Now that i've regained my composure....
I just wanna share how awesome Chris Webber is. I have heard this from a lot of members from this board already, and experiencing it first hand is really the best!
After Philly won, I went into a section in the arena where you can wait for players if they decide to come up and sign autographs. I was hoping against hope that Cwebb would come up. And to my (pleasant) surprise, he did!
I was holding a sign that says "Chris Always" and he saw it. The moment he came out, i yelled "CWEBB!" cause i was surprised and starstruck
Well, I thought he'd just rush by and just greet the fans so i quickly asked him if he could sign my jersey. He was very nice and said "of course". So he signed my kings black webber jersey. While doing so, he talked to me. He asked me how I was doing and stuff like that. I was smiling the whole time. I couldn't thin of anything to say so after he signed my jersey I just said "Thank you so much chris! You're my hero!" And he responded by saying "Aww, that's very nice! Thank you so much!" It was really sweet!
Then, he just hung around. He signed autographs for the kids and took pictures. He was talking to some of his friends over there, too. So i didn't want to take all of his time and I didn't want him to get mad at me for bothering him so much. So, I was just taking pics of him while he was standing in front of me. To my surprise, he looked on one of the shots. then he said "Did you get it?" I was like, yeah. Then I asked him if I could take a picture with him and he said "of course! (with that beautiful smile)." So we took a picture together.
And then, he also ended up signing my Chris Webber Michigan card and my sign that says "Chris Always." When I asked him to sign my sign, I was like "Would you mind signing this last one please?" (I was getting kinda embarassed at this point
) but he was like, "Sure, sure." And then he asked me "what's your name?", so i said "Angel." Then he personalized the autograph. He put "To Angel, God Bless." I was extremely happy when he did that!
So I just let him talk with his friends. I was just taking pics of him and then at random times I asked for Korver's, Igoudala's, and Dalembert's signatures. They were all kind enough to sign but they didn't seem as interested as Cwebb was. i don't know, but Cwebb seemed really happy (and was smiling a lot) when he was signing autographs out there. He was also very approachable. He signed everything the fans gave him and he was in no hurry to leave.
So after a while, when he was about to leave, he said goodbye to his friends. And then he looked at me (I was obviously looking at him, too), and he said "Nice meeting you Angel" (I can't believe he remembered my name!) and I responded by saying "Nice meeting you too!" And so he left. When he left, I just had to yell "Thank you so much Cwebb!"
It was the best night ever!
