[Game] 76ers @ Kings - 1/2/14 - 7 p.m. PST

"It's amazing how they (76ers) continue to trap after make free throws." - Grant Napear. Even more amazing is how little Kings trap, how they almost never full court press. When they cut lead to under 10 late in 4th Kings not only did they not trap they simply let 76ers walk up the court get into each set and you guessed it scored, scored again and scored again. Horrible D by the Kings!!! Anyone who blames refs for this loss has loser mentality.
I have partial loser mentality then.

We want andre miller some web site reported that is not the Latino Post. Ican't imagine Miller starting at this point in his career though.

IIRC, it was more like an essay that said we need to go after Miller since he's been suspended more than an affirmation that we actually want him - which I don't, BTW.

"We need to trade IT because he can't defend"

Turner and Young drop 50 on us. MCW had 7. IT wasn't great at all, but the big problems defensively were elsewhere

Some of you need to change up the script of who's to blame for our defensive suckage

IT was getting abused left and right, and then left again.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of IT, he should NEVER shoot more than Cousins in a game like this. They had to foul Cousins anytime he had the ball. Hell you could make the argument that Gay deserves more shots than IT.

IT can never please some people... I'm thankful some people on this board arnt in charge of making kings ball decisions
IT is so good at driving and dishing because no one can keep up with him. But the main problem is he hits a shot then thanks he is MJ and starts jacking up too many shots.
He can be and should be a pass first PG and we would win some of these games.
He can get to the rim anytime, so why not do it?

Oh please. Any PG that can average 20 and 7 while shooting as well has Thomas is a staring caliber player. His size and decision making might hold him back from being elite, but he is nothing less than a starter in this league.

The amount of negativity directed at him in this thread is hilarious when you consider that our "shooting" guards are a combined 1-11.

4 points betwen JT/Mclemore/Thornton 2/13 what a effort

To add on to that.

30 points on 11/38 from everyone else but IT, Gay, Cousins. And that's with 5/9 from Jimmer and 4/7 from Williams. Just atrocious support from the role guys tonight. We don't play defense so 28% shooting from the role guys is simply something we can't have to win.

Very disappointed that ALP was five minutes late in joining the broadcast tonight, and then cut off, as soon as the final buzzer went off. I would love to hear what Kayte has to say in the post-game.

IT played way much more then cuz and needs to shoot more when running with the losers (bench)

Unfortunately for us, that says more about Thomas' teammates than it does about Thomas.

Well, when you have to cover for Thomas on every single play, it doesn't really leave an option of freeing your opponent.

I hate Thornton and outlaw. Ben looked like a bust again. If the "big 3" had a competent sg with them we would be balling right about now.
Losses aren't a big deal to non playoff teams but they worry me in terms of resigning rudy

I was just about to make this same remark. No reason to. I am concerned with what is going on. I thought Malone was brought here to preach defense. We are worse than ever. Teams are shooting over 51% on average against us. That is laughable. IT can't be a starter. I don't even care who starts in his place anymore. Every single time they were matched up against him, they drove hard to the basket. We have no discipline on defense. Someone drives to the hoop, everyone caves in and suddenly you have 4 wide open shooters all over the perimeter. Do they not know how to play a simple zone defense? 1 on 1? Anything? We need a SG too. It's like we are playing 4 on 5 at this point.

Bull ****. Evan Turner destroyed the Kings. Did IT guard him? How about Young? Do you even watch the game?

Watch out for Tony Wroten if he's playing he will get into the lane at will, the 76ers could very well outhustle us if we are not careful, this is a game we really should win, also DMC last year played poorly both times against the 76ers so hoping he can turn it around.
Dude is a beast and plays D crazy hard loved what I seen him from 2night changed the whole game

We don't need a shot blocker right now, what's the point? He would foul out in a quarter with IT getting slaughtered on defense. We need a PG that can hold his own, and we need to do something about that SG spot, it is a gaping black hole, even worse than our SF spot before. We also need discipline. Coach Malone, you are also partly to blame. 113 points, again. It can't just be our players. They aren't working hard enough for you on defense. A lot can change with effort.

Some players of starter caliber come off the bench. We are trapped in a few positions as to who starts and who comes off the bench.

Trust me when he gets more talent around him he will drive and dish. I don't blame him for not doing it now with outlaw thorton d will throwing up bricks over and over again

20 and 7 are great until you realize that he allows like 40+ ppg either directly from the player he is defending or from the help defense that allows other players to be free.

Mind you, the whole team sucks on defense; however, it makes it harder when you've got a guy like IT on the floor. He's a bench player and nothing more. A guy you put in to spark a fire and get the Kings back into the game or maintain a lead...

I watched the second half, and several times IT ended up on Turner. If I can find a video of it, I will gladly post it for you. By the way, each time he guarded him was a bucket or foul for Turner. Wroten too. Killed IT. I call it like I see it. I will tell you the game plan for each team the Kings face for the rest of the season with IT starting. Drive to the hoop and kick the ball out to someone, and don't worry, at least 3 people will be open at all times. I don't care if you're an IT fan. Look at my photo to the left. I'm calling for him to be benched right now because he isn't helping and he is thinking too much. Tough love is sometimes best for a player.
