Mister Slim Says: Eleven more games of this.

Sacramento closes out its last 2+ game homestand of the season by hosting their last first-time opponent of the season, the equally pitiful Brooklyn Nets. At first glance, this looks like yet another Tank-Off™, with Brooklyn rather blatantly ruling out their starting center for "rest, and Sacramento having to potentially play this game without a backcourt: according to ESPN.com, the Kings have ten players classified as guards, only three of whom are officially listed as "Available" as of this post going up, and one of those three being on a two-way contract with Stockton, which plays later tonight.

May the universe deliver us from this nonsense.

Keep playing the kids.

Among the guards, Clifford and Hayes get the start. Devin Carter will finally get back on the court. Monk is the forgotten man and the one named "likeliest to be traded."

I sure hope so, for his sake. After starting the season strong on both ends of the court, then getting benched in December, Malik's numbers since the all-star break have been abysmal.

So if we can somehow manage to lose this one, we can really scratch our way further to the bottom and keep a good lock on our #4 position.... can't believe I'm thinking like this!!

I forget McDermott is a veteran with a lot of specialized knowledge to impart. Also glad he's getting to see the court again at this point in his career.
