49ers at Cowboys 8/26 (Preseason)

TO a no-show. Bledsoe looked great, Romo only so-so.

Despite only 1 touchdown (one of which I hope is many future Smith-to-Davis hookups), I'm still feeling good about the offense. I know it's preseason, but our O-line looks MUCH better than the last couple of seasons.

The defense, um, well I'm a Mod here and I would be setting a poor example by expressing my true feelings, so let's just say "I can't wait to eventually see what our defense can do on the field!"

I noticed a few things.

1: Alex Smith only rolled out a handful of times...He was hugley successful against Chicago rolling out a lot...Maybe we are holding back? I sure hope so, because if not Im not to sure what managment is thinking...He still wasn't BAD today, but it wasn't like his Chicago game.

2: Frank Gore is better than Kevan Barlow.

3: We have no pass rush...None...At all...Trade some of our infinate middle draft pikcs of 07 for a pass rusher...Please?


4: Brandon Williams, 3rd round pick...What a waste of a pick...A 3rd rounder on a punt returned/undersized WR? UGh...Prove me wrong, buddy.

I still don't get why this was a preseason game. What good does it do to talk mess. It was only preseason, I cannot even give niners fans any grief.

Dallas's D is looking really good - WOOT just gotta hope TO doesn't go TO on us. Man I hate that guy!

The defense.. let's just not speak about it.

While I do see many positives on offense, such as the O-Line, TE, WR and our improving QB, that same QB seems to be telegraphing his throws. I was looking for this coming into that game and he still would lock on to his main guy. Several times there were wide open receivers and he didn't even look their way and forced a throw in traffic.

Terrell Owens is to a lot of 49er fans what Ron Artest is to a lot of Pacer fans. No one can deny he has the talent; it's his attitude and demeanor that some people simply cannot tolerate.

You take the good with the bad and keep your fingers crossed.
