I've been asked what I was going to say on this august occasion. I've been accused of not having a life, etc. by some and I've been asked by others how I could possibly amass that kind of total. Hey, sometimes things just happen...
Now, to address the point at hand, here's my 40,000th post:
I want to thank the Sacramento Kings for the years of enjoyment I've had being a fan. I cannot even begin to imagine how it would be to not be a fan and I hope the day never comes when I find out.
I want to thank Jeremy for providing a place like this for me and ALL Kings fans to come to not only discuss our favorite team but to belong to a community of fans that is special and unique. It's not just about a few words on a message board. It's about sharing joys and sorrows, about being able to meet some of you face-to-face and find out you're just as great in person as you are on the board, it's about getting to know people from different lands and cultures I never would have encountered without the common thread of watching NBA basketball and having Kingsfans.com to share our passion.
I want to thank all my friends here at Kingsfans.com who make it so much fun to come here and post.
I want to thank those with whom I don't always agree for some excellent debate and exchanges.
I want to thank my boss for her understanding in allowing me so much leeway in my job that I can be here and do a big part of my job at the same time.
I have 40,000 posts...what that says is there's always something to talk about here at Kingsfans.com And if a few people want to comment that I have no life, that's fine. I have a wonderful life, and if a big part of it is being an active member of the best message board on the Internet, I'm glad for it.
Once, now and forever I LOVE THIS TEAM and thanks to all here at Kingsfans.com for being part of this great ride.
Now, back to business... We've got a team to root for.
GO KINGS!!!!!
